How to Incorporate CBD into Your Full Moon Ritual Practice

Happy Full Moon! It’s magick making time beautiful people. The Full Moon is the energetic peak of the lunar cycle, it’s the time in which our magnetism and manifestation energy is amplified!

The Moon’s gravitational pull impacts the tides, it influences the rise and fall of the sea, and in turn, as our bodies are made up of water, we can feel the effects of these energies too.

Implementing Moon Rituals into your self-care routine can help you tune deeper into your intuition, cultivate clarity, and cleanse old, stagnant energy and emotions.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A MOON RITUAL?

A full moon ritual is a ceremonial practice taking place on or around the evening of the Full Moon. During a Full Moon, the sun and moon are sitting opposed from one another in the sky - the sun lighting up the moon, illuminating the celestial body, and inviting us to consider the areas of our life that need some illumination too.

Imagine creating more success, calling in what you want, releasing fears, attracting abundance, finding joy, and receiving cosmic guidance - practicing a Full Moon Ritual gives us an opportunity to explore whatever experience we want more of in our lives.

There are eight major lunar phases, and we move into a new phase every three to four days. In astrology, that orbit includes all twelve zodiac signs meaning that the Moon moves into a new zodiac sign about every two to two and a half days.

We begin in the New Moon phase, a time of new beginnings, self-surrender, blank pages, and fresh intentions. This is a time of rebirth. As you move through each phase I encourage you to sit in quiet, envision the celebration of what’s to come, imagine your big juicy dreams flowing forward and lighting up your world.

Then on or around the Full Moon consider the variety of ways you can create ceremony for yourself.

CBD MOON RITUALS + SELF-CARE

A well-designed ritual will support your vibrational frequency and emotional response. Higher frequency emotions include love, compassion, and joy - lower frequency emotions include envy, anger, and frustration.

We’re all human beings, and so it’s natural for us to cycle through these emotions. This practice of ritual gives us an opportunity to vibrate more quickly and regularly at a higher frequency. In this practice, we’re choosing to counteract lower emotional turmoil. Including CBD into your practice can support you in moving out of lower emotional states with more ease.

My favorite hemp oil brand, Fe Earth to Body, invited me to share a few of the ways I incorporate their magical products into my Full Moon routine, and it really got me thinking - the rituals and habits I’m going to share with you are wonderful rituals to incorporate into your own Full Moon ceremony, however, they’re also incredible day to day self-care practices (routine is what makes a ritual after all). I hope this inspires you to incorporate ritual into your life throughout the day -  the Full Moon is always a beautiful day to begin!

Meditate

At 7 AM every morning you’ll find me on my meditation cushion, and on the day of the Full Moon, I start and end the day here! I take a few drops of Hearth under my tongue - it helps me to drop right into my practice - giving me access to renewed vitality and my full creative potential with a synchronized blend of adaptogens.

My meditations can vary depending on the energy of the particular moon. Sometimes the meditations are more active: invoking passion, power, and creativity. Othertimes they’re designed to cultivate a sense of zen, peace, and bliss. My Full Moon meditations are never quite the same, as I consider the cosmic energy and what my intended outcome is when creating the meditation.

Here is a recorded visualization style meditation focused on the heart chakra, self love and compassion. I encourage you to try to it!

Dance, Hike, Yoga - MOVE!

To me movement is everything! Whether it’s getting out for a long hike, dancing in the kitchen, or taking a yoga class, movement keeps me feeling healthy and fit, and also clears the mind.

On a Full Moon day, I love movement practices that allow me to release negative thought patterns and lift my vibration. I love taking a dose of Astrea, turning on a high vibe playlist, and practicing intuitive dance. Astrea is a plant remedy that helps me to recalibrate and access my inner radiance. It’s a clarity and peace enhancer!

Matcha O’Clock!

In the afternoon I love making matcha, my favorite is MATCHABAR Ceremonial Grade Matcha, with a drop or two of Theia. Theia nourishes my body so I can return to my usual energetic self, and paired with my afternoon matcha I feel rejuvenated but not overly amped up.

It’s the perfect way to set the tone as I prepare for the arrival of the evening Full Moon! While sipping my Matcha I take this time to journal, set my space, and begin to cultivate a list of what I’m manifesting for the month ahead!

Get Outside!

As the moon is rising I love to be outside in nature! It’s time to disconnect, soak in the lunar energy, and let that gorgeous celestial body in the sky illuminate my path. I love packing Ocea in my beach bag and heading out to catch the moonrise over the Pacific.

Once I’m by the ocean I practice sitting in quiet, enjoying the sound of the waves, noticing all the ways I can experience nature: the smell of the salty air, the feel of the sand and the cool water, and of course the brilliant sight of the moon rising over the ocean.

Ocea renews my overworked nervous system to help ease me into a restful and zenned out evening. It’s the perfect blend to move me from having an overactive mind into a place of bliss. By the time I’m home, and putting the final touches on my Full Moon alter, my head is ready to hit the pillow to get the best sleep ever.
