How to Live In Alignment With The Energetics of Each Phase of the Moon

The Moon is an ancient symbol, it shapes how we understand time, its gravitational pull controls the tides, it governs how we plant and harvest, and affects our energetic fields.

Downloading a moon calendar, practicing full moon rituals, balancing your chakras, and incorporating holistic healing modalities into your life is a beautiful way to begin to align to the energetics of the moon. If you've joined one of my free Moon Circles, which are a great introduction to lunar living, imagine taking those same practices a step further.

One of the most important (and often overlooked) pieces of our astrological chart is the moon sign. Your moon sign colors your emotions, day to day habits, relationships and your subconscious needs. It speaks to what’s going on below the surface.

Why the energetics of the moon?

The Moon represents a magical yin energy inside of each of us.

The moon tells us when to embark on new endeavors, when to schedule social engagements, and when to stay home and practice stillness. By syncing your daily life to cycles of the moon, your own sense of well-being is improved.

Throughout the month my recommendation is to practice rituals to energetically align with each phase of the moon.

The phases are:

New Moon - Reset and Set Intentions

Waxing Crescent - Nurture Yourself and Your New Ideas

First Quarter - Create Action

Waxing Gibbous - Root Into Your Plans and Refine Where Needed

Full Moon - Illuminate and Manifest

Waning Gibbous - Express Gratitude and Reap the Benefits of Your Work

Last Quarter - Release Energy and Let Go of Stagnancy

Waning Crescent - Celebration Completion and Cultivate Rest

By following these phases you'll line up your life to the energetic cycles of the moon to deepen your creativity, manifest more, cultivate your own zen, and cleanse energetically.⁣⁣ Over 29 days you can follow a flow to find what truly lights you up, while you raise your internal vibration.

Syncing to the Moon Cycles

By syncing our daily lives to cycles of the moon, our own sense of well-being can be improved — the moon tells us when to embark on new endeavors, when to schedule social engagements, and when to stay home and practice stillness.

It gives us information on the best time to consider a reset, when to travel, when to focus on our creative self expression, or when to take a class or learn something new.

My personal practice in alignment with the moon energetics includes the following:

Movement, Breath, Meditation, Journaling, and Rituals

To keep it simple I follow a practice that looks like this.

WEEK 1: REBIRTH

WEEK 2: GENERATE

WEEK 3: ILLUMINATE

WEEK 4: LIBERATE

Each week I create new rituals, movements, meditations, journaling work, and breath practices that line up with each week’s theme.

In my Art of Lunar living course, Culte La Lune, we make these practices a part of our every day living.

Culte La Lune: The Art of Lunar Living is the opportunity to create personal accountability as you deepen your meditation practice, make movement fun and incredibly powerful, while practicing simple self love and care for a complete lunar cycle. While there's evidence that shows it takes 21 days to create a new habit, the goal in Culte La Lune is make self love a habit that you'll embrace permanently.

Want to go deeper?

Join Culte La Lune: The Art of Lunar Living. It’s a 29 day virtual gathering beginning the night of the New Moon each lunar cycle. We practice lunar living, set intentions and call in our big juicy dreams.

Consider Culte La Lune your collective of woo woo witchy friends working to raise your vibration and create accountability with. We meditate, we move, and we create moments of personal self care.
