New Moon in Libra With Venus in Retrograde

I’ve received quite a few questions lately about what exactly the “new moon” is. So before we get into the reading from Violet Guide I thought I’d speak to what the new moon is first. The new moon is the birth of the new lunar cycle - simply put it’s the start of a fresh month astrologically. There’s a promise of a renewal as the sun and moon align. This month however there’s the addition of Venus moving retrograde. I shared a bit about this on my instagram stories earlier this week and so many of you were already feeling the impact!

As an overview - during a retrograde love, money, communication and more can spin backwards and stall out for a time. Venus, however is the ruler of Libra, the sign under which this new moon is rising so there’s a deeper un-earthing around love and old relationships from the past. As much as we want to look toward the future old flames, estranged family members and friendships you’ve long since abandoned will circle back into your sphere. We will have to confront a bit of our own shadow, which can feel uncomfortable, however remember, the more we learn, the more we can use that to guide our future! - Andi

Now on to the reading:

Violet Guide for Oui We

The Signifying Card

Seven of Wands / Oui We

The Seven of Wands is what is igniting us. We are standing alone in our own light, pushing away the darkness and finding that inner fire. Expect a lot of inner answers to come to you during this time - you’ll understand more of yourself for an inner awakening. We are the only ones that can light our own path inside of ourselves.

Body, Mind and Spirit

The body is reaping the good fruit, we are seeing the gold in ourselves and focusing on how to physically create that realm of manifesting what what we have been working on.

The mind is on romance and specifically who you have partnered up with in that realm. Since Venus is in retrograde, there will be a lot of relationships rising up in our minds to come into healing light. Ask yourself why you are in these partnerships and what energy is actually wrapped around them. Invest in the ones that bring that good fruit and lifting, and it goes both ways.

Our collective spirit is the Six of Wands with the image of the butterfly rising up out of it’s own darkness. You are coming out of that thorny area and rising up saying, “Here I am. This is me.” Up and out sweet angels! Keep that rising energy up inside of yourself, your true Spirit is rising to the top!

Body Mind Spirit Cards / Oui We

The Skill of Mastering

The Judgement card is the main card of true mastering, even though it looks harsh it is actually the card of Forgiveness. Letting it all go and not letting the past have power over your future. In this position, it is reversed which I am picking up as a dumping of that forgiveness and grace within yourself in understanding the reasons you need self forgiveness. Let that light push out of you and feel that freedom.

What We Are Clearing

As we release and lift, there is a new beginning in the Ace of Swords of mental clarity and strength has us cut through the thickness of the Ten of Wands. I am getting the image of the prince in Sleeping Beauty when he is having to cut through all the thorns with his sword. So that Sword is of forgiveness and we are taking care of business. You are in fact, taking your power back and clearing your own blocks.

Natural Expansion

Natural Expansion / Oui We

As the journey of cutting out our own thorns & debris, the natural expansion and awareness of the Four of Wands is growing inside of you. There is a brand new light of how you see yourself, others and the world. What a power. Lean into the awakening and stretching of it. You will feel a little sore in the top of your shoulders, back and neck because that old build up of stress is escaping your body. You’ve been swinging that sword! Sage your body! Take time to purify and see the new light enter into your own being.

Higher Self

Higher Self / Oui We

The Daughter of Swords is wide awake while your intuition and mind’s eye wisdom are growing and uniting together. We are going to feel a little upside down in ourselves for a minute because it’s how a new way of thinking is manifesting inside. The Ace of Wands is that new electricity of creative awakening coming into your bones. Lean into your new Self and way of thinking. Practice the goodness that is coming through.

Outcome

Pain is unavoidable. It is how we handle it that changes our destiny. It has been a very illuminating shadow side of the moon with so many relationships. So be thankful for the wake up call because it is time to snap out of it and move forward. Give yourself the same love that you would want to give to others.

Peace and Light,

Violet Guide

Aries Full Moon Tarotscope

Have you felt as if you’re suspended in air, thrown off balance or sidetracked by unexpected twists - tides are turning so take your gaze up to the Full Moon.

The harvest moon of Sept 24 lands near the equinox. This is a time of clarity, balance and intuitive knowing. This is the arrival of the powers of darkness and light coming into a full and perfect equilibrium. We turn to Violet Guide today to share her insight via an Aries Full Moon reading for the collective of Oui We:

The Vision

Violet Guide Tarotscope

Today my vision is of a flower/firework combination of energy for this Full Moon. It’s an intense yet beautiful growth. The vision of the flower is that of a daisy with this “he loves me or she loves me not” energy as if we are picking petals off of ourselves. So from the previous cycles, we are getting better at identifying who needs to be in our lives and energy fields.

Root System

We are starting with the base of the Ace of Cups and the Seven of Swords. The Seven of Swords is showing that you are still protecting yourself in your new community. You are in this restart place of a new community and it feels a little lost and lonely. There are some left over thoughts from that old community that is dealing inside of you still. Remember, you have restarted so give yourself some grace, you still need to handle your business and get these new butterfly wings flying!

Violet Guide Tarotscope

As those come together, we have the Two of Wands with the Strength Card rising up inside. Remember that to build strength you have to face your fears. So here you are, it is time to start walking the walk and talking the talk because it has arrived. Strength will put a steadiness back inside of you.

Let’s take out those swords and stretch those wings now.

The Stem

Violet Guide Tarotscope

We have the Mother of Wands protecting your inner child which is holding onto the Four of Cups - this is self protection. The Four of Cups is a self greed - it is blocking you or protecting you form The Devil Card. The Devil Card represents negative thought patterns and addictions still living inside of you.

You are only protecting yourself on account of your own greed right now but you have to change the way you think because those thoughts had become an addiction. Check yourself out. See what your inner dialogue is saying. You don’t need to protect your negative thoughts and addictions anymore. You need to plant new thoughts of light and love and self trust. You can create a safe place for yourself.

This is where the firework and blooming happens.

Firework Flower

Violet Guide Tarotscope
Violet Guide Tarotscope

The first boom bloom cycle is showing the energy of The Daughter of Swords, The Mother of Swords and the Daughter of Wands. This is showing this extremely wise intuitive youthful feminine energy coming to life. Ask yourself what that wisdom is about on those old addictive thought patterns?

Take that wisdom and pull it into yourself and your new community, especially with your body, mind and spirit. You have done so much work of rebuilding yourself so make sure you are gaining your wisdom and strength in it. Practice it. It is okay to change the way you think and apologize to yourself and others for it.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

The second bloom is The Mother of Pentacles, The Son of Wands with the Son of Cups. These three are another extension that is growing and it has a lot of reflective awakening. You are nurturing your inner child in it.

While this illumination is happening speak to your inner child. Tell yourself that you are okay. Let this be a wake up and let this new energy electrify you again. You get to bring yourself back to life again. You are safe and you are okay within yourself.

I caught myself two days before the full moon putting my hands over my heart and repeating, “You are safe in your heart. You are safe in your body. You are safe in your mind. You are safe in your spirit.” On repeat. I let myself cry and hold myself through it. Keep saying, “You are safe. You are safe. You are safe.” You have to grow trust inside of you now. Tell yourself that you love yourself. Talk to your inner child.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

The third bloom is the Ace of Wands, the Son of Pentacles and the Star. Here you are lifting that depression and the darkness is shifting so the light is coming though. The air is clearing - there is new hope and new creative beginnings.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

The last one is the true firework and that flower petal being picked off. It is leading with the Eight of Cups, that shattered dark community you just left is out of your body now. You also have released the Nine of Swords and the Nine of Pentacles that protection of energy you kept with them and they are fully decomposing. Their words, thoughts, actions are not attached to you anymore.

You have broke the spell of it off. You are gaining the wisdom. You can drop your guard and celebrate that. This is the kind of strength that sticks around for the rest of your lifetime.

Keep the Light in your Heart. Keep the Light in your Mind. Keep the Light in your Spirit. Keep the Light in your Body. Keep the Light.

Grow Your Own Inner Light.

Violet Guide Tarot

The Center

The Center of the New Moon in Virgo focus is the Chariot with the Seven of Pentacles over top of it. We are embracing double sevens and are officially holding the energy of change now in our bodies. We have really done the work to save ourselves. Way to go! This is some serious work when you take responsibility for your own life and start shaking out those old ways of thinking or believing and really focusing on your true Higher Self in health and healing. Since this is a new moon, we are going to focus on the shadow side and darkness that may need to be brought up to move forward with this new change of energy inside of ourselves in this journey.

Root System

There are two walls that are being illuminated in the root system this time around. The first wall is the Two of Cups with the Nine of Swords over top of it. This wall is saying that there is an old romance or partnership and it’s time to let it decompose. All the swords have entered in and the card that is above this relationship is the Five of Pentacles which again, is mourning of energy/time spent in those partnerships. Create some space to really feel what you've lost and name it so we can replant trust and hope for future relationships to grow. Let that relationship become the soil to grow new relationships. This is pivotal in your change in saving yourself and mourning it, so now you can get back on that Chariot.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

The second wall in the root system is the Ten of Pentacles and the Seven of Swords with the Two of Wands as a push forward. This is making me a little weepy, for this is a big wall to knock down and let go of because you have used it for protection in a negative space in your body. This is a high energy wall of secrets and deceit. This high energy wall is either thinking that way about people or people that have held that over your head - it is a high fear in your root system. This was holding you back from saving yourself and making that change. However, above it is the Two of Wands which shows us laying down a new path. Instead of holding that negative viewpoint of deceit/secrecy, you are changing your entire thought process now. This is huge on reestablishing self trust and clearing off the slate for others coming into your life.

These two walls coming down in the root system from the Pisces Full Moon a couple weeks ago is insanely powerful and I am sure you are really seeing the strength that is growing inside of you. These are two huge powers that are completely resetting and restarting your relationship with yourself and others crossing in. Time to shift out of that personal stalemate.

Higher Self

We have a stepping system of the Father of Pentacles, to the Devil, to the Three of Pentacles. Our higher self is still doing some intense work on reframing the thought system. This feels like an intense step system. As you unlock the first one, you unlock the second one and then move into the third. When this pattern comes out in the tarot, it is a known unlocking that is happening.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

The drive of the Father of Pentacles is this entrepreneur empathic energy settling inside of yourself. Communicate inwardly in the tone of gentleness and kindness, to create a drive in your higher self of love and grace. The second step is the Devil card, so there is still a negative thought process that we're going head to head with, but we are handling it in that realm of empathy for ourselves! The last step is the Three of Pentacles - it shows you and two other people that are helping to get over that mountain. This is all about change - a shifting and a practicing of that change. You are changing that rooted energy and it takes practice to make the shift a positive habit. So keep that kindness and empathy as your drive. Go up this mountain of change towards saving yourself - there is a very powerful shift happening in your Higher Self.

Drive

Violet Guide Tarotscope

The Drive is the wheel house of power that is fueling this shift in the motivation of change in becoming our own Chariot. The first card is highlighting this self stalemate energy of the Two of Swords. We are trying to pull this eclipse energy out of ourselves but are feeling stuck. This New Moon is helping to finally get out of this stalemate. As you pull through this shift out of that old walled rooted behaviors mentioned earlier, we have the Eight of Wands, the Sun card and the High Priestess spinning a go cycle of awakening. Here it comes, lightening is striking and the full awakening power and your intuition is WOKE and reactivating. You have officially pressed restart and there is an intersection of the change in thought, energy and how you view yourself.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

The bullet is in the tension of energy in the shift and that is illuminating the Lovers card and the Mother of Cups. There is a whole new partnership and intuition that is growing inside of us. It’s going to make you stronger in yourself with the Chariot realm. As we push through these negative thoughts and widen our awakening to undo this stalemate, here is the next level.

Body, Mind and Spirit

The overall card that is glowing over us is the Star card of Hope. It is important when this card comes up that we are really letting our dreams and manifesting power come forward in life. What do you want to do in your life? What do you need specifically to manifest in your personal life? What are you envisioning your future to be? Now, it is time to speak it and believe it. Now that you have cleared out your body house of old relationships and that fear of deceit, you have so much room inside to recreate new life and dreams in a positive safe space inside of yourself.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

You have space now to dream. Space for beautiful new human beings of light to enter onto your path. Fill it with people and projects that you are building your life toward that align with your vision.

We have the Father of Cups coming in the body side, there is still a little darkness on your masculine energy of seeing that intuition come into balance. In the mind, we have the Son of Swords that is still taking care of business on every thought entering into your mind and cutting out all the negative words and fears that have held you back in a stalemate. You are on the watch, earning your wisdom and really fighting for yourself. The spirit is at this last step in facing inner fears but we are seeing the light and really at a place of feeling the relief of all the work we've done to get to this place of inner-self stability again.

Conflict Awareness

Violet Guide Tarotscope

We have the Five of Cups with the Six of Cups so we actually have this physical loss and mourning of a friend that is directly tied to family, memories and deep rooted issues. But, if you want to reclaim yourself and change your energy, you have to let them go to move forward.

Outcome

Naturally, right after that we have the Judgement card, which is the forgiveness card. As you forgive, self forgiveness and relationship forgiveness, make sure to take on that personal responsibility. Especially after this past Pisces Full Moon, I realized how I was projecting onto people my pain out of my own past abuse. It is a strange excuse how we can stay victim in our own mind - I had to forgive myself first, then release other people through considering how I have hurt others and hurt myself in treating others that way. My empathy has been building as I truly let go of all the inner and past pain that I built my personality and protection around.

Violet Guide Tarotscope

So forgive, and release. Forgive and Release. Forgive and Release.

As that unfolds we have the Seven of Wands and the Son of Cups showing this reflective initiation and inner fire in your belly of standing up and becoming that true light in your life. That mix pulls your Mother of Pentacles, the gentle protecter of your inner child, connecting with revisioning your true future. This shows a couple of people that are helping to illuminate that inside of you and pulling that rainbow magic beauty from you. So after this intense six months of eclipses, we are finally seeing the rainbow of work we have put forth.

We are still protecting, nurturing and rebuilding trust with our inner child but the beauty is coming alive now and that is restoring our energy. See it and gain wisdom to help others unlock that in themselves.

So here is the change. The shift is happening. You are your own Chariot. So now where are you going to lead your future?

Pisces Full Moon: August 2018 Tarotscope

This is the August New Moon reading for the collective of Oui We. If you wish to schedule a personal session with the Violet Guide, you can book your appointment here.
Tarotscopes / Oui We

We have passed through the New Moon in Leo pushing into the Full Moon of the Pisces. It has been a very eventful two weeks if you found yourself guided by the last cycle. Just like in our last reading, I will start with explaining the center of energy and then work my way through the spread starting with the root system to the natural outcome as we move forward in healing.

Tarotscope / Oui We

Center of Energy

Tarotscope / Oui We

The Ace of Cups is over the Strength card, and both of these cards came up in the last spread and that will be the main focus of our energy for the next two weeks. Who in our community is building strength inside of us? How are we building strength inside of ourselves? Reflect on the separation of the release of old energy to make space for the new energy inside of you. Start looking at Energy as how you invest your time in your entire being: body, mind and spirit.

Remember we just let all those old people out of our sphere so now we are filling it with strength and a new community of love and self acceptance. Now you have time, space and focus to really pull inside of yourself to unlock and build strength after mourning. So we are really pushing out of the ground and illuminating a new romance and new strength inside of ourselves.

Root System

Tarotscope / Oui We

We have the Five of Swords, Three of Cups, and the Nine of Pentacles in the heart of the root system. Which means we have cut off the dead parts of us that held us back. So that impact of self awareness, in the reflection of the people we have let go of, has shown us that inside ourselves we held their negative energy. Now we are cutting off that mirror reflection to regenerate ourselves in our own strength with a new self love reflection.

This spread is showing you and two other people that are still in your inner realm and helping you talk through and see you and support that growth and transition. There is still this protection of energy that you still need to hold down on and create that safe nest space for yourself.

The Push of Growth

The two cards that pull the roots into action is this ‘Hope At Last’ card. You made it through the battle, so take a rest. Focus on the rainbow and the achievement that you have accomplished and gained within your true self. That is usually a good sign to travel, change your environment and just break out of your routine to shake off the dead weight. This is paired with the moon card of the Wild Unknown in facing your fears and collecting your inner dreams again. I’m feeling a lot of confusion is letting all those old relationships go, you are now looking up into your own moon to see what you should fill yourself up with again. This is really fueling your self strengthening right now with some new beginning rest/dream state.

Tarotscopes / Oui We

Your Higher Self

Our higher conscious is still in the Mother of Swords with this feminine wisdom. You are still watching, and learning, and paying attention in this realm. So keep ALL your eyes open and gain as much wisdom as possible. The wisdom is unlocking in the Ten of Cups which is the highest vibe of connection in your community of friends and family paired with the Ace of Wands. The Ace of Wands is a complete new beginning of a creative release. What a treat. This is totally lining up to the center of the energy in recreating a stable community that is fueling your change and vision in your life. Dream, baby dream!

Driving Force of Change

We have this Three of Swords with the Five of Cups which is showing the people that entangled you and kept you bound is a drive now to change, but you have the Two of Pentacles right there with them showing the actual metamorphosis taking place inside of yourself.

Tarotscopes / Oui We

So as that “ let it go” energy from the Leo New Moon is still driving you forward remember that sometimes it takes some time to undo, but letting these old relationships go are really are changing you. Gain the wisdom, MOURN your OLD SELF too... make sure you let that spirit go with those old relationships.

The past two weeks, I have really been letting myself cry knowing that the full moon was going to be in this sign and bringing a lot of suppressed pain to the surface. I have had to apologize to myself for putting my body into relationships with people that didn’t honor me or try to understand me... crying over my fears, crying over how I put myself in bondage, how I let other people keep me in bondage, friends being in the same bondage together which is where that tension laid but now we all are letting it go and letting it leave our system.

The bullet that fires out of that spin cycle is the Eight of Swords - here you will feel like people are still coming at you in attack and even though you are transforming you are still needing to protect yourself from those swords and thoughts of old words people spoke over you and stayed trapped in your mind. You are not to use your tongue and sword against them and you still need to hunker down and gaining that wisdom of self understanding. Wrap yourself up and keep that protection alive, you don’t have to respond and just know you can only control your own emotions and reactions and not other peoples.

So, there are great strides so far in the center of the spread that create strength in your new community and life. You are fighting for yourself and nothing births more of an inner strength and positive love inside of yourself.

Body, Mind and Spirit

We have the Nine of Cups over all three of the cards signifying this is the lens of your entire being. This card is all about harmonizing your community, bringing your entire being under this roof of peace. Let Peace Be Upon You! Who are the people in your life that actually bring you peace and harmony? Those are the people you should be investing in and creating room inside of yourself. Your body has the Father of Swords, which earlier we had the Mother of Swords in your higher self so we are seeing a feminine/masculine balance restoring inside of your body and it is balancing your wisdom.

Tarotscopes / Oui We

Learn, keep watch, see people for who they are and not what you are trying to project onto them. We have the Tower on your mind with the Son of Swords in your spirit. Your mind is still getting shaken up, you are actually changing the way you think. Give yourself some grace because changing your mind is hard and freeing in the same movement. Old thoughts are clearing out of your head and your spirit Man Owl is taking action with new learned wisdom on how you view things. This is like a wake up call, it gets you dizzy for a little bit but the Tower card is a very important card to honor when it comes out.

Make space to admit you have been wrong about your projections so your mind can be changed and re-establish peace and harmony back into your entire being. There are SO MANY light workers out there, but you have to do the work for the cosmos to link us all up. The Son of Swords in your spirit realm will help guide you in clearing out your own house. Make sure with these three cards that you are speaking peace and harmony over yourself and in your vision of your body as we move into this full moon.

Extension

This is an extension of building this harmony. We have the Hermit, with the Father of Cups, and the Daughter of Wands. There is this intuitive youthfulness still growing. So just lock down with the Hermit and seek that inner wisdom and light. Spend some time by yourself and lean into your self observations. Grow that reset button and examination. You have to build a mirror of peace, harmony, intuition and light if you want to attract those type of humans into your life. This is a reset of youth being restored inside of you. Call in that youthful feminine creative spirit with your masculine intuitive side and dance with those sides of yourself.

Conflict

Oui We / Tarotscopes

You are still going to feel the tension of the Four of Pentacles with the Death card and the Chariot. This tension is based on leaving the old part of you behind and really changing how you are as a human. The Death card ends a chapter in your life. You have already within yourself cut off a lot of these old weights of negative energy and now you have become your own chariot. You are saving yourself. You are taking change over your life and going for it. Accept the death of your old self and push into your chariot.

* The wind just blew away the five of cups with the chariot ... so there is an actually powerful movement of releasing those people to save yourself! Let it blow away.....

Outcome

Tarotscopes / Oui We

This Sun card is with the Father of Wands paired with the Star card pushing into the Four of Wands of inner expansion. There is a whole expansion of creativity rising up. Hope is building and rising with the Star card and you are expanding your inner energy. This is what freedom and love feels like when you heart reopens again to life. Remember when you mourn fear and face it, you are actually creating new space within your body to grow and challenge yourself in new ways. The flood gates are flying open! Let them open up inside of you!

Extended Three of Outcome

The Heriphant, the Mother of wands, and the Six of Pentacles is showing an overall teacher of protection that is growing this good fruit inside of you. So lean into your guides and listen for the sweet words of wisdom that will be raining down this full moon in Pisces.

Grow Baby, Grow! Happy Full Moon!

New Moon Leo Tarot

The Center of Awakening

In the center of the energy of what this Leo New Moon is illuminating is the Seven of Wands and and the Son of Pentacles. So as we go through the translation of this tarot spread it is all going to circle back to these two cards and how they influence us.

This pairing together in my translation is that there is a collective inner courage and strength to grow with a partnership of empathy and kindness. This is going to unlock some old wounded energy to wake us up to face our fears and strike up this inner light to stand on your own again.

The Breakdown of the Spread

Now that we know what the center is holding, this is the movement of translation as we journey into the other cards.

We begin with the root system; it's what got us to the point of this needed growth. The root system illuminates the energy that is pushing us forward, which is the foundation that makes change happen. This creates a match striking moment, which is funny since in the middle of it is an image of a match on the tarot card for the Seven of Wands.

Next, we will look at the motivation or drive that's pushing you forward and the bullet of energy it creates when it shoots out of you. Above that is going to be the higher self, which in this case starts with the Ace of Cups - an emptying of an old community within us and what that recharge looks like. Next, we shift gears into how that is going to transform your body, mind and spirit after you do the first side the shadow self moon and what energy to take on and take hold of as that inner strength starts growing and rising up inside of you.  Above that is the inner conflict and what that looks like to each of us and how it manifests as the outcome or full purpose of this new moon in Leo.

The Root System

After identifying the center energy we are now going to look into understanding why that needs to be shaken out of your root system and what needs to stay in your system.

There are six cards that represent how our collective body, mind and spirit are driving us up from the depth of our soil to grow.

Oui We Tarot Reading August

In the body position, we have the Sun card with the Eight of Pentacles which is stirring up an enlightenment stage of career and skills.  Your body is physically getting ready for the next step of action which is a pretty badass drive. It is telling you that it is time for action.

The middle is the mind which is rooted in a childhood reflection of memories married to the Mother of Cups who holds intuitive wisdom and awareness. So, your mind is really stretching back to old memories and they will be illuminated around this new moon. Trust the memories and visions it is triggering because those are the moments you need to ask yourself if that’s the moment when your inner strength or courage disappeared. That is your activation pass to start reflecting on the original root and how the cycle started.

Our Spirit Self is rooted in the Star card of Hope but what is challenging it is the Five of Cups of mourning actual friends and or family. So, your spirit really needs to do some grieving for those people or community that took that power away from you causing you to give up your strength. Give yourself some space and think about the things you have lost along the way. Challenge yourself.

The next question to ask yourself is "why am I feeling weak right now?" and go from there. I don’t like to think that people steal from us - that mindset falls into the realm of victim mentality thinking. We normally have to give them permission to take from us, usually there was an unstated contract of expectations that falls apart in the realms of stolen. I’m a child of all kinds of abuse and I am sensitive to that entire realm so I am not talking about that lightly. Trauma is true and tricky but in this specific tarot spread, we are focused on building inner strength and courage to get this old stale energy out of our beings.

Mourn those people to create that drive of hope again inside of you. You have to let them go to gain strength. Remember: go after all of this with Leo energy and take on this lioness light. This doesn’t give you permission to stay in those memories of mourning. This holds a space of honor to you and that person(s) to officially let them go and take back your inner courage.

Whether you wronged them or they wronged you, just make sure you take ownership and wipe the victim mentality away from your spirit. Go through that reflection time because so far the whole inner strength thing is that you need this in your root system to do the drive toward self-enlightenment. You have to push it out to keep the drive alive. Do not stay in the shadows and let that one standing match light your path up.

The Growing Tension of the Root

Oui We Tarot August Spread

The next break through is the two sticks rubbing together to make a fire of the volcano energy that is zapping this electricity that clears the fog in your entire being.

You are specifically being rubbed with those who kept secrets from you which has blocked you and kept you from building strength. You feel deceived like you have had to sleep with one eye open which makes you want to control or manipulate those swords in your head that creates an intense tension. Those are the people that you need to mourn and let go or maybe you are the one that did the rubbing and have treated other people in that way. I would say we all have been on both sides of that coin if you really think about it. Take self ownership on those mirrored reflections.

So, that is what we are all pushing up out of our ground right now to grow this centered energy of inner strength and empathy. Yes, this is hard and yes it hurts but if you want to build this inside of yourself then you have to take on courage and strength and create this empathy within yourself. You have to face it and as you push through that,  your higher self goes into the action of the Ace of Cups.

The Driving Force of Motivation

Oui We Tarot Reading August

The drive of this change is returning to a youthful energy because we are tired of these swords coming up against us. The swords in this are those thoughts of people who have held you back from expansion and feeling that risk of letting go. Now is the time to take the risk and the bullet that it fires into the Empress. She is connected to nature, grounded, queen of her realm and that is exactly what that turns us into from a transformation perspective. As she unlocks, your higher self is reactivated. Pull that trigger and return to your true self.

The Unlocking of Your Higher Self

Oui We Tarot Reading August

The Ace of Cups is upside down so there is going to be a dumping out of your old community which is all those people that got highlighted in the root system. You are actually going to feel those people and opinions leave your body, mind and spirit because you took back your space.

Let them go. LET THEM GO. LET THEM GO. You have to let them go. Let them go. It’s going to feel painful because you are going to feel every person leave and it is a detox but it is actually going to be replaced with expansion. Fear holds us back from expanding. So, as soon as we let the fear of these people and their words go, we will feel like the Magician and the Ace of Wands. Those are the expanding energies that come out of you. What a beautiful relief! Regain yourself again!

The Magician is the jack of all traits and has all four of the tarot suits. The sweet babies of expansion: we've got the Swords, the Pentacles, the Cups and the Wands with this enlightenment energy. Your higher self is stating, get them all out! - dump them all out and it makes the Magician inside of you light up again. This triggers a change of energy with the Seven of Pentacles with the Three of Cups helping out. This shows that there are two other people, who are still there and supporting our change and growth. They help build harmony and help you to remain true to yourself with love and grace. They rise and shine with you and embrace your magician self and love how you are changing. Keep the healthy voices close. Those are the type of people you have to surround yourself with in this Leo new moon.

The other side that wakes up is the Ace of Wands which is a new path of creativity waking up inside of you. Here is the expansion but it is partnering with the Son of Swords which represents self protection. Protect this awakening. You don’t have to tell everyone about it, just those two close friends but you must take action for this new birth to happen. So be protective of yourself, be on the watch. Remember what energy you just let leave your body because you are going to be able to recognize it in other people you engage with for the rest of your life. Sometimes those memories are okay because they protect you. Some people may try to talk you out of that letting go - they want love and forgiveness - but you do need to remember. You need to see people's patterns. You need to see your own patterns so you don’t repeat them and get yourself back into old fogs or spirals.

The Refreshed New Energy in The Collective, Body, Mind and Spirit

Oui We Tarot spread august

The next transition is what pushes us into our new body, mind and spirit. We have the Lovers in the body position, the Nine of Pentacles of protection in the mind, and then the Daughter of Swords in the spirit.

There is a new love and partnership rising up in the body. You did that for you. The Lovers card in this position is a self love and partnership that we each are growing inside of ourselves. I am not talking about another person coming in, this is all about what you are holding inside of your own body.

In your mind, you are figuring out how to protect yourself. Save yourself. Save your energy. Protect your mind. That is so important after you do a detox of letting so many people out of your minds eye space, so focus on you and the energy you need to make for yourself.

Your spirit is becoming a wise and intuitive owl. But overall you have that Father of Cups, a mystic intrusive male that is remembering what you just went through and you are seeing it all clearly. Keep growing that empathy for yourself, grow that Son of Pentacles still in the center of this strengthening and courage. Grow into those dark places and keep pushing them while expanding out of your fear. Push, push, push. Just keep moving forward and you will get the answer.

The Conflict of Tension to Keep Working On

Oui We august tarot spread

In the conflict position is the Daughter of Cups with the Four of Swords. This partnership together is doing a lot of reflection to gain mental stability. This lets the third eye open up.

I like to describe the third eye as when you actually take your self out of the scenario and look down on the situation that you are in that is causing an upheaval of some kind. Take yourself out of your body and look down at the whole situation like a bird's eye view and ask yourself, "what am I seeing right now?" "what is my motivation?" Consider: what are the words coming out of the mouth’s of others or what words are inside of your head - what is causing reflection and then cut through what you're seeing to create this mental stability. This will create tension inside but that is the expansion of facing fears with truth while gaining much mental strength to believe in yourself.

The Outcome

August Tarot Reading Oui We

The outcome is really beautiful. It makes me want to cry because of the powerful push up and pull forward it is achieving in our lives. We have done so much self work by this point and can actually breathe! This layout of the cards is how our new inner strength will actually manifest.

This type of inner strength created a base of the Chariot inside of you. The Chariot is when you learn how to save yourself. Your energy is on you with the Pentacle hanging around your neck. You are the focus now.  What grows out of this self saving is the Heriphant card, the teacher. You have gained that key of wisdom and unlocked it inside of you which pushes into the high realm of healing with temperance. The last card is the Two of Wands which is laying out a completely new path. You have changed and you are growing from it. You have to make conscious decisions, become aware of yourself, and call out illusions from dreams to reality.

This is a beautiful push of saving yourself, learning from it, receiving healing and realizing you can change the way you think about that. You don’t have to hold onto these people in your head and you don’t have to hold onto that community anymore. You can actually save yourself. You can unlock the teacher inside you that pushes into the healing of water and fire, blue heron beauty.

Regrounding is very important. So call yourself out, look at yourself in a mirror as common as that sounds it’s the most important part of tarot. You have to look in the mirror and look at your true self. Erase the vanity of it and reclaim the empathy side of looking, seeing and building that inner grace.

So collectively, I can feel the sadness of it at the beginning but remember that the Leo energy gives us this drive to shift gears. The universe rains down on us but we have to respond back to her. So do the shadow new moon work of the detox - you have to save yourself.

This inner strength is important and it's worth the risk and let that Empress be the drive. She is rooted and she is the queen and facing and radiating as your bullet. Keep going and work for yourself.

All the blessing.

Grow, Baby Grow!

The Astrology of July

July Astrology Report

🔥 July arrives hot on the heels of the intense configurations that June has just introduced us to. Mars stationed for his bi-yearly retrograde on June 26th and will be a leading figure in setting the tone for the entirety of the summer, one full of imperfect movement and increased fiery feelings. There may be times when we feel like we’re sinking in quicksand, and any sudden movements will only make us descend faster into trouble. This summer calls upon our ability to strategize and to call upon a sense of calm in times of chaos. Ultimately, July is jam-packed with astro activity, including Mercury retrograde and an intense lunar eclipse at the end of the month. Let’s dive in.

Astrology of July by Maddie

On July 1st, Venus and Pluto face an uncomfortable aspect, prompting us into some relationship transformation and romantic reworking. When Venus and Pluto face off, we can sense tension in the partnership areas of our lives and we need to seek some healthy adjustments in order to have the relationship keep evolving. This transformational relationship energy can rear its head sexually, verbally, or power dynamically. July 2nd sees a stand off between Mercury and Saturn, one that may have us feeling mentally blocked or potentially caught in a web of depressive, isolating thoughts. Mercury/Saturn pairings tend to make us feel mentally inferior to others, or unintelligent, and incapable. Know that these mental blockages will pass and that you are perfectly capable, despite any mind tricks Saturn may be playing.

On July 3rd, Mercury conjoins the moon’s nodal axis, an axis in astrology that’s representative of fated events. Mercury is conjunct the north node this go around. The north node is symbolic of an intake of energy, the goals we’re moving towards in this life - which is a place that’s not always comfortable for us to lean into, but when we do we feed our souls journey in a big way. Mercury moving over the north node speaks of intaking new thoughts, new ways of communicating, or sharing fated dialogues. Watch the conversations you share around this day, for some of the words exchanged may be ones that stick with you for a long time. July 5th sees a tense opposition between mental Mercury and aggressive retrograde Mars. This configuration typically fires up our mental energy and our ability to be sharp tongued with others. We also can have an increased boost in our ability to get work done, but as it’s an opposition, a balance needs to be sought between overdoing or overthinking.

🌀 Retrograde Mars in this case can create some internal anger and frustration, and with the opposition to talkative Mercury, we can impulsively mouth people off and cut ties in a big way. Watch your communication around these days, especially with Mercury on the nodes, it’s clear here that a major story lies in the responsibility of our words. July 8th sees a moment of relief from the tense whirlwind of aspects with a buoyant Sun/Jupiter trine. This pairing can raise us up, make us feel more spiritually inclined and generally more optimistic about life, if even for a moment. Sun/Jupiter can also be a time of over doing and over indulging, which is Jupiter’s downfall so often. The sun represents our ego as well, and with Jupiter involved, we may take our good feelings too far and become potentially arrogant. This is a more extreme example of Sun/Jupiter, which typically is quite a pleasant aspect.

❤️♍️ On July 9th, Venus, our planet of relationship, enters the sign of Virgo. Venus, the giver of unconditional warm love, isn’t very comfortable in Virgo’s territory because Virgo is notorious for being too critical or judgmental in partnerships. We may find that we nitpick at our partners or in romance during this time, finding faults at every turn and second guessing if we should really even be in our current relationship. If you’re single, you could be more discerning and picky with who gets to enter into your life. Try not to be too judgmental or harsh on your lover during this time, since we are so hell-bent on finding faults in others, we may need to turn that critical eye inward to see what’s really going on. Another expression of Venus in Virgo is taking an interest in our health, lifestyle, and daily habits. We may find that we’re interested in eating better for our bodies or getting ourselves in better shape, again with Virgo sometimes being a critical workaholic towards its goals, make sure you don’t beat yourself up for the rate of your progress or if you slip up and eat a burger - it’s all good!

🦀🦁 On July 12th, a potent new moon in the mothering sign of Cancer is born, resetting the lunar cycle for the month ahead. This new moon is opposite the wielder of transformation, Pluto, telling us the month that lies ahead is one of deep emotional reform. Plant seeds of intention surrounding your home life and family, for this is what Cancer is concerned with. This new moon is particularly potent because it’s also a solar eclipse. Solar eclipses are known to be amplified with energy, and are powerful indicators of new beginnings and opportunities. They bring in huge periods of growth by removing us from our comfort zones and by showing us where we’ve been unbalanced. On July 22nd, the Sun happily leaves Cancer behind and marches into Leo, the sign of its rulership, and in turn, honors all of us to feel proud, self-interested, and creative. The sun revels in the sign of Leo, giving us all a boost of vitality and force behind our creative actions. Leo energy likes to be seen and praised, so enjoy some self expression and a fresh dose of self confidence.

☁️🌹🌟 July 24th sees Venus in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces. When Venus and Neptune work together, dreaminess is enhanced and illusions become enchanting. These two beautify and make things magical, but they also make idealizations strong and unrealistic. Venus and Neptune basically created rose-colored glasses. When they’re opposing each other, we may need to find a balance between the illusion and the reality. Our relationships are involved in this dream with Venus as the forerunner here. What illusions do we put upon on our relationships? What can we envision that’s healthy or helpful for them to grow? All this aside, it’s bound to be a great day to day-dream, watch a movie, see a concert, or get lost in an ethereal escape of your choosing.

🌀⏲ Mercury joins the retrograde crew on July 26th, the day before the full moon / lunar eclipse. Mercury will be moving backwards through Leo until August 19th when he goes direct. The usual and obvious cautions apply here of course, but at this point they bore me to tears. I rather stand in support of Mercury retrograde as a time of mental reflection. The whole movement of summer is one of picking up lost pieces in time. Join the backwards movement, you can’t fight it. What have you forgotten? Where have you left off? What details can be revisited about the chapters in your life’s story? This retrograde will have us moving backwards through Leo, which is representative of our creative endeavors, our ego’s self expression, our heart center. What do you need to go back and find that you’ve misplaced in your heart?

🌕♒️ On July 27th, a revolutionary full moon blooms in Aquarius, and with it comes a brooding lunar eclipse. The full moon in Aquarius is not typically the most emotional moon, as it is ruled by a detached and mentally stimulated air sign, but because it comes hand in hand with a lunar eclipse it’s likely to be more emotionally potent. Aquarius moons get us in touch with our friend groups and urge us to find ourselves in the bigger picture of humanity. Lunar eclipses tend to be more emotional than their solar counterparts. Our minds become flooded with dreams and memories as they make us conscious of time passing before us. Eclipses are wildcards in general, bringing new things in and old things out, often in a sudden way. This full moon lunar eclipse has added importance because it’s tightly conjunct retrograde mars, the main character leading the story of summer ‘18. Mars being so strongly involved in this eclipse/full moon configuration is absolutely no coincidence. We will likely be shown exactly what our Mars retrograde story is all about during this eclipse, like it or not. We will be diving head first into our Mars material, exploring our will power and drive, our sexuality, our anger, and the men from our past.

Love,

@MackAndTheZodiac

The Astrology of June: Enjoy the Ride!

♒️☸️ June is bound to be one of the most pivotal months of the year, as it marks a significant change for all of us in the direction of our own personal journey. Mars goes retrograde in Aquarius mid month and will remain moving backwards until late August. This movement is likely to throw us for a bit of a loop, while simultaneously serving up some frustration and obstacles over the summer. We’re just beginning to see the new 7 year story of Uranus in Taurus unfold in all of our lives. A few of us have already survived some sudden earthquakes occurring to our foundations or stagnant situations we’ve been holding onto. Saturn and Pluto are trudging through Capricorn and are pushing us to accomplish some difficult work on ourselves. It’s certainly not a calm and stagnant time to be alive, the universe know it and wants to see us work and grow with these varying energies!

Gemini Season - Oui We

❤️⚔♇ The month starts out with both intense and nebulous aspects, as we come fresh out of the gate into some tricky relationship territory on and around June 5th, when Venus opposes Pluto. This aspect shows us the power dynamic present in our current relationships, while also intensifying our connections romantically and sexually. If you’re in a relationship, you may tread into some treacherous places together emotionally, plummeting down to each others depths to make sure you’re ultimately aligned with a similar goal. If you’re playing the field, you may find your desire for sexual encounters or intense relationships increase around the beginning of June.

📞👁 On and around the next day, June 6th, Mercury (communication) comes into a conflicting square with Neptune (dreams and visions). This can create a disorienting effect on our minds and speech, we may need to monitor our daydreaming and the information we share with people, as messages can become foggy and unclear during this time and points ultimately misunderstood. On June 7th, the self assertive warrior planet Mars will be exactly conjunct the moon’s nodal axis. The nodal axis is a marker of fated events in our lives personally and collectively, and when a planet touches them natally or by transit, there is a strong emphasis and exploration involving that planetary archetype. Mars is our planetary player here, and this go around he is specifically conjunct the south node. The south node is associated with old habits and patterns that are easy for us but that are no longer helping us grow. It’s the thing we always fall back on when we don’t feel like pushing forward with new techniques. Mars on the south node will see us emptying out old Martian habits that are holding us back, such as our will power, self assertiveness, sexuality, or aggression. All Mars like topics will be up for revision.

♋️🦀 June 12th sees a shift in our minds and mouths when Mercury enters cozy Cancer. This movement of Mercury internalizes our minds and gives us a more emotional and sentimental mindset. We may find that we’re fixated on our past, as old feelings rear their head and thoughts of our upbringing and family life intervene suddenly with our day to day. Mercury in Cancer is a fertile time creatively and you should encourage yourself to explore art through an emotional lens. Cancer is one of the signs in the zodiac without any vocal chords, as it is ultimately represented by a wordless crustacean, so with our planet of communication struggling to speak, we can expect our words to turn inward and not find an easy way out. Mercury will be swimming in the ocean of Cancer until June 29th when it moves into fiery and dynamic Leo.

🌑♊️ On June 13th, a new moon in Gemini is planted into all of our charts, resetting the lunar cycle for the month ahead and giving us a blank slate to work with. This Gemini new moon allows us to set intentions around learning, teaching, and exploring our many curiosities about life. New moons and their aspects always set the tone for the month ahead, and this new moon features a nebulous square to Neptune, signifying that we need to make adjustments and sort out confusing thoughts and messages throughout the coming weeks. This square to Neptune can also signify a need to readjust our relationship to our own illusions, idealisms, and spirituality over the month.

❤️🦁🔥 Venus enters Leo the very same day of the new moon, which dramatizes and fires up our relationship energy and our need to perform and create. We may explore creative outlets that may have fallen to the wayside while Venus was making us wanna stay home in Cancer. Venus in Leo creates a warm and excitable energy around our relationships, but it also can show a tendency for us to seek extra attention and approval from the people in our lives. We can also tend to crave a little more worship, praise, and pets during these times! Take it from a girl with Venus in Leo natally ☺️

◻️❤️🌀 June 14th features a powerful square between Venus and Uranus, calling for some much needed readjustment between our romantic relationships and our need for excitement, novelty and freshness. There can certainly be sudden breakups and shake ups on the days around this square as well. Know that if your relationship is feeling rocky and you’re rethinking it’s entire existence, this aspect can give the jolt you may need in order to call it off. If you don’t wanna end things, this square can just illustrate new ways to incorporate some healthy new changes to keep things growing and changing between you and your partner. If you’re single, this square could make for some exciting or even potentially upsetting dates or bring eccentric people into your life at this time!

☀️🦀🏠 June 21st sees the Sun leave the airy skies of Gemini behind and forward into the emotional depths of Cancer. The sun in Cancer is a call to come home to oneself and ones closest of kin. The sun in Cancer will have us reviewing our home life, our relationship to our family, and our most personal emotional space that is well protected against the harsh realities of the outside world. While the sun moves through the sign of the crab, know that you may long to stay at home and out of the social spotlight for the time being. We are drawn towards decorating our personal inner spaces and taking a look at what needs cleaning and rearranging in our emotional interior as well! Cancer time is a time to make yourself cozy, to heal your wounds, to call your mom, to watch your favorite movie, and to cry if you feel like crying! Embrace your desire for comfort and give yourself permission to withdraw from the world.

🌀🙂☁️June 26 sets the tone for the rest of the summer as Mars will be going Retrograde until late August 2018. Mars will be moving backwards through Aquarius and will dip back into earthy Capricorn in the coming weeks. This will likely reawaken some of the struggles from the previous months that we thought we may have escaped. Mars retrograde basically just means a more inward Mars, which is hard for this fiery and outwardly expressive planet. Our anger and sexual energy can move inward on a subtle level. It could be harder to express being mad with someone or a situation than when Mars is in direct motion. Issues surrounding our willpower can rear up. It can be harder for us to take a stance against opponents or against situations that feel overpowering. Mars energy turned inward can be challenging to work with, so do try to keep it in mind throughout the summer if you feel anger boiling and building up inside you. Try to find a physical outlet and the will to express yourself and your real feelings during these times.

☀️🔵🌝🏔 On the same day, the life giving Sun opposes limitation loving Saturn, which can add some obstacles to the mix for the days surrounding. Sun/Saturn energy can amp us up in terms of getting our hard work done and can help us focus on what needs to be done, but it can also isolate us or make us feel a bit blue as well. The end of the month sees a Saturn ruled full moon in Capricorn bloom on June 27. This annular full moon in Capricorn is always a tricky one to navigate, for the moon suffers a little in the cold and rocky world of Capricorn. The moon, ruler of Cancer, wants to nurture, stay home, and heal your wounds. Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, wants to go out and conquer the world and doesn’t always have the patience to sit home tending to every sensitive emotion that passes through! This full moon is very tightly conjunct Saturn, adding an even heavier Saturnian vibe to the whole mix. This full moon can be a tad bit depressing and taxing on us, as Saturn reminds us of all the work and obligations and responsibilities we are so heavily indebted to on the regular. It can also make us feel quite isolated and lonely. Try to find a pal or two on this day so you can share your real feelings instead of feeling all bottled up inside!

Good luck with all of these crazy energies and try to enjoy the ride!

Love,

@MackAndTheZodiac

The Astrology of May

May is finally here and in full bloom, and it’s bound to be one of the most important months of 2018. Astrologically speaking, May marks a huge shift in energy and signals a big, brand new story that will be uniquely unfolding in all of our lives. This new 7 year story is being narrated by the erratic and unpredictable outer planet, Uranus, who is moving out of Aries after a 7 year stay and forward into Taurus on May 15th.

Taurus Season via Oui We

🌑🦂🔥♈️ Change is the name of the game and the best thing we can do is try to embrace it! May starts out still reeling from the old wounds that the Scorpio full moon may have reopened. The moon now wane’s in her glorious light, symbolizing her journey of closure and release from the emotions and revelations of the climactic full moon. Mercury, our planet of communication is still trudging through the fiery ashes of Aries, where last month’s retrograde instructed him to revisit. Mercury in Aries keeps our minds and tongues sharp, as well as rather self-interested.

♊️🍾💛 Venus, our planet of relationship, is currently gliding through social butterfly Gemini. Venus in Gemini brings a mental emphasis, a lightness, and a general frivolity to our desire nature. It increases our want to be social and makes us long for friendship and parties, perfect for Spring! Venus in Gemini is creatively fertile for writers and wordsmiths alike, as we may find we long to teach, learn, or read something new. Mars, our planet of self assertion, is still climbing up the rocky, obstacle filled mountain of Capricorn. Though his journey sees a long awaited end mid-month, we’re still not out of the woods. Saturn in Capricorn and Jupiter in Scorpio are both moving through their retrograde phases, signaling an intentional need for slowing down and cutting back on any overflow of our current responsibilities and commitments that don’t internally resonate with us.

☁️❣️ May 7th sees a nebulous conflict unfold between our idealizations and our relationships. We may need to make some fresh adjustments regarding the realistic expectations we have of our partners. Fair warning that this aspect can also make us romantically susceptible to people in an illusory way. We can think that someone we meet during this time is right for us in an idealized way that may not stand the true test of time. The life giving Sun also opposes abundance bringer Jupiter the exact same day, prompting us for a day of potential overdoing and overindulging. Fortunately, this opposition shouldn’t be so bad, since Jupiter is the great beneficiary. We will likely be feeling dreamy and optimistic around these few days. Be careful of over committing or biting off more than you can chew. Too much of a good thing can turn bad.

💰🌎🌝 Mercury enters Taurus on May 13th, which begins to slow and stabilize our minds and speech. Mercury in Taurus will have us thinking more seriously about our finances, values, and practical concerns here on earth. May 15th is the big day we’ve all been waiting for, when Uranus enters Taurus. On the same day, in perfect synchronicity, a new moon in Taurus is born. This Taurus new moon is a most fitting beginning, as it sets the stage of newness for that area of life.

⚡️♉️🏠 Uranus is an outer planet that Astrologers look to for both societal and personal shake ups, sudden changes, and bursting insights. In the steady sign of the bull, he breaks up old Earth and the trusted grounds we’ve walked upon. Uranus has been moving through the pioneering sign of Aries since 2011, completely changing the scenery in the Aries ruled house of your chart. Now, after 7 long years, Uranus the change bringer is ready to bring some electricity to your Taurus house. Look to the house that Taurus rules in your chart to see where the earthquakes in your life may be coming. The energy of fiery Uranus in placid Taurus is interesting to picture, for Taurus in itself is a sign that requires steady, stable, peace and calm. Uranus will potentially break things down and change things around in an area of life that you’ve become too complacent and comfortable with. This is a major shift and one of the biggest of the year, as Uranus will be working his feng shui magic in Taurus until 2025!

☮️📣 The very next day on May 16th, Mars enters Aquarius, lightening the heavy Capricorn load of the last 6 weeks considerably. Mars in Aquarius is a more mental placement for the soldiering planet, and will inspire us to put energy and action into the groups and friends we associate with. Mars will give us a boost here to put more work into humanitarian efforts as well - be it feeling the urge to peacefully protest or simply voice your concerns within your community. Also on this day, Mars comes into a tense square with newly ingressed Uranus in Taurus, fanning the flames of tension and allowing for potential outbursts. People in general will be quite irritable, emotional, or unstable on the days surrounding the new moon/Uranus in Taurus ingress, as it will be bringing in totally new stories into people’s lives,  so try to be as patient and understanding as you can with yourself and others.

❤️🦀 On May 19th, Venus moves into Cancer. The planet of love suddenly becomes a bit tired of socializing and staying out late with friends, and turns its eye back homeward. A desire to stay home and be cozy comes on strongly as Venus enters the homebody and family oriented sign of the crab. While Venus is in Cancer’s domain, it’s a great time to host from the comfort of you home. It’s also ideal for meeting up with one’s family or parents and having dinner together. Our craving for sweets comes on strong while Venus is in Cancer, so be aware of curbing the sugar when you know you’ve gone too far! That being said, this is also a great time to bake and cook things at home.

☀️👯 On May 20th, our bright and vitality giving Sun enters Gemini, the sign of the twins. This provides us with a more chatty and curious nature. We may want to get out, explore the neighborhood, and connect more with our local community. This is a great time to learn something new, as our minds activity are heightened towards intaking new information. Gemini season also offers us the ability to write, read, and speak more adeptly! Gemini season wants us to get outside and enjoy the fresh and warm coming of Spring and find our friends and companions to join along. May 25th sees a tense opposition unfold between Venus and Saturn. This aspect can make us quite aware of our separateness from other people. We can feel isolated from our partners in relationships, like we’re misunderstood or not being seen. Venus/Saturn can be kind of a downer, so don’t worry if you’re feeling a little blue or alone, this will pass.

🌕♐️✈︎ The lunar month comes to a climax on May 29th, which oversees the blooming of a bright full moon in exploring, worldly Sagittarius. This is a much more fun full moon, quite the opposite of April’s. Sagittarius energy is warm, active, and enthusiastic. This full moon will have us seeking freedom and wanting to travel to the far off corners of the world. This lunation as per usual brings a strong awareness into our lives about our current situation. The Sagittarius energy imbued in this full moon may have us feeling a crisis around our personal freedom. We may be realizing just how badly we wish to be able to wander, explore, and learn instead of feel chained to our jobs and local lives. Use this full moon to explore your dreams and visions and begin making plans to get out of town!  On the same day, Mercury enters his own sign of Gemini, giving him additional strength for the coming weeks. Mercury in Gemini increases our mental speed much more than when he’s in Taurus. Beware of frying your nerves with rapid, vacillating thoughts! Balance out your hyper mind with some physical activity.

Have a great month of May! Embrace Uranus in Taurus, its gonna be one an exciting ride!

Love,

Mack and the Zodiac

Taurus Season: Return to Nature

🌿♉️ On April 20th, the Sun’s trek through the battlefields of Aries comes to a close, and we move forward into the greener, calmer pastures of Taurus. Aries season was a stimulating and potentially overwhelming time, as it endowed our spirits with a fresh breath of air and inspiration towards our personal ambitions. Now, as we move into Taurus season, we seek to build a foundation that will support the lofty goals that we’ve been envisioning. Taurus season is ruled by the proprietor of beauty, Venus, who sees that the fragrant flowers bloom with color and that nature begins to thrive, fervent and green. We will begin to slow our pace considerably, preferring now to drift languidly through a garden, and to enjoy the simplicity of just smelling the flowers and basking in the warm sun.

🍃🌷🌿 Taurus is a sign that is deeply connected with mother earth, as it is the first earth sign of the zodiac, deeming the sign’s demeanor to be one that is quite literally “grounded” or “down to earth”. During Taurus season, we should encourage ourselves to move away from the technology that we find ourselves surrounded by. It’s an ideal time to step away from your cellphone for a bit, and simply exist just as yourself outside. If you can manage to schedule a little earthy retreat, do it! Go for a hike, sit by the water, stroll through a newly blooming garden. Taurus is a simple sign, there is no outward flashiness to it’s allure. It’s beauty comes from embracing the simplicity of the natural beauty of the planet we reside on. Taurus season is also great for creating art and music with ones hands, as it is a very physical sign. Everything also tastes better under Taurus's sensate spell, food and wine enjoyed at home in a cozy space will be make the soul happy now.

✨♈️⚡️ This Taurus season is bound to be unlike any other, as Uranus, the outer planet who acts erratically and bring surprises and change, will move into the sign of the bull and remain there for the next 7 years. Uranus hasn’t been in Taurus since the late 1930’s, where it last saw the onset of the great depression. Many astrologers are getting the feeling that the story of Uranus in Taurus will be one of revolutionary changes taking place, for good or bad, in our economy and the marketplace. Uranus in Taurus is an unusual image, as Taurus itself represents the steady ground of the earth we walk upon everyday. The ground that we can trust won’t dissolve beneath our feet. The ground we collapse into in the summer shade to rest our weary bones in the grass.

🌎⚡️ Uranus in the sign of strong and stable earth looks like a giant earthquake. Individually, it will be reshaping the parts of our lives that have grown stagnant and perhaps stubborn to change, look to the house that Taurus is ruled by in your chart to see where this major new energy will be coming into! Remember, Uranus isn’t a threat to you unless you cling to an imagined comfortable reality that is resistant to growth. That mindset attracts Uranian energy like a magnet, as Uranus wishes to come in and shock you with lightning bolt revelations of truth and authenticity.

♓️➡️♈️ This week has overseen some big astrological shifts, as the stage has been set for some big change. Chiron, an asteroid astrologers refer to as “the wounded healer”, has moved out of the oceanic waters of Pisces and into independent Aries. Chiron has been traveling through Pisces since 2010, where he’s sought out ancient wounds around Piscean themes, such as empathy, surrender, escape, and connection to source. Chiron’s job as he transits the signs of the zodiac is to bring up the old wounds of each archetype for re-evaluation and understanding, so that we can heal our own wounds. Chiron entered Aries on April 17th and will remain in the sign of the pioneering warrior until 2027! Pretty crazy, we’ve got some work to do on ourselves. While Chiron moves through Aries, we will be exploring the archetypal wounds of the Ram, including wounds around our ego, how we take action, and how we function as individuals vs. the world.

♄🌀 Saturn turned retrograde on April 17th as well and will remain moving backwards until September of 2018. Saturn’s retrograde period calls for us to start simplifying our responsibilities and commitments. It’s time to cut out whatever we’ve agreed to that doesn’t actually mesh with what we want to be a part of. Saturn retrograde periods are a time of trimming the fat off of our schedules, it’s not the time for adding on more things to your to do list. After Aries season we have a million things to do on our to-do list as it is! Saturn is suggesting a more stress free approach. “Simplify!” he cries. By cutting back on the obligations that are too much for us or that we’re not even that invested in, we can put more time and effort into the things that we actually care about and work more efficiently at them!

April Astrology Report | What The Stars Hold For You This Month

🌺✨Spring is here and in full swing, and while they often say that March “comes in like a lion and out like a lamb”, the astrology of April appears to challenge that notion.  March presents it’s grand finale with a vibrant full moon in Libra on March 31st. This full moon shines it’s emotional spotlight into the Libra house of our chart, a place that varies from person to person, but one with a foundational theme surrounding balance and relationship.

Spring Vibe Board || Oui We

🌕 The Libra full moon is the perfect time to take a step back from the hyper need for individualization found in Aries season in order to reassess our partnerships and how they’re functioning. March was packed full of Aries planets, encouraging us to think about our unique place in the universe and ultimately put ourselves first. The beauty of the contrast of the Libra full moon’s presence is that it aims to bring us back in balance with the important relationships in our lives. The overdose of Aries planets has likely had us inspired and bursting with initiative, but we may have slacked where it came to giving full attention to our partnerships. This full moon’s emotional energy may put us on edge, as it is forms a tough square to both of the malefics, Saturn and Mars. These two ask for us to make sure we have a good grasp on our boundaries, goals, and a healthy level of autonomy in our partnerships. They can also make for some pretty sizable obstacles and arguments as well. Fortunately, the very same day, relationship healer Venus leaves impetuous Aries behind for calm and stable Taurus, making it the slightest bit easier to seek compromise calmly.

🌀🌎 April sees many planets changing directions and signs, signaling significant change and activity on the horizon. April 1st begins with a bang, as aggressive Mars and responsible Saturn join together in Capricorn for their exact conjunction. This brings a most palpable tension to the days surrounding this aspect, and we may come face to face with some intense frustration, limitations, and issues in general. The classic description of these two malefics coming together is a stop and go kinda of tension, or “driving with the brakes on”.  This day is further prone to surprises and upsets due to the Moon’s opposition to irritable Uranus. The days surrounding may find tensions and obstacles mounting increasingly. Take it easy on yourself and take a deep breath, for the rest of April won’t be quite as tough as the beginning.

🔥♈ On April 15th a firey new moon in Aries is born in the abyss of the night sky. This new moon tells a story for the month ahead, May. This new moon is conjoined to change-bringer Uranus and square to transformational Pluto, telling us that the month ahead may be chock full of surprises and deep inner work. Hold onto the reins and keep pushing forward! Mercury also finds itself going direct on the same day of this new moon, which signifies a definite shift in motion ahead. May will mark a huge month of change as the outer planet Uranus will tread ground that hasn’t been touched since the 1930’s when it moves forward into Taurus on May 15th. Uranus has been in Aries for the last 7 years, completely transforming whichever house Aries rules in your chart. Now, it’s heading for Taurus to shake things up with some fresh insight and change, which is not always comfortable but is absolutely useful.

➡️ Mercury’s decision to go direct the same day of this new moon insinuates that a brand new direction is awaiting us on the horizon of May, one of forward motion. Where the first few months of 2018 have been somewhat internally aware, thoughtful, and needing us to pause and reflect, what comes ahead is a much more outward and direct energy.

🍷⚡️ April 16th sees a rather indulgent opposition occur between Venus and Jupiter. This opposition can push us to go overboard in Venusian pleasures, as any planetary contact with Jupiter typically creates an increase and expansion via that planet’s significators. Venus/Jupiter pleasures are mainly those of over eating, over drinking, and over spending. Venus loves beauty, art, makeup, money and Jupiter loves to blow things out of proportion, always asking for more, more, more! Try and tap into the three planets that currently transit through reserved and practical Capricorn so you don’t wind up totally overdoing it. The next day, April 17th, Saturn turns retrograde for the first time in his cycle after having entered Capricorn in December 2017. Saturn will remain in his retrograde phase until September of 2018. Saturn retrograde periods call for an internal and reflective outlook on the commitments and choices we’ve made and how well we’ve managed to keep our word in regard to them.

🌞🌸♉ On April 18th the Sun conjoins unstable and unpredictable Uranus at the very end of Aries. The days surrounding are likely to be full of surprises, changes, sudden flashes of insight, or erratic and independent outbursts from people. This final firey Aries burst of energy is a perfect closer for Aries season, for the mood starts to change from impatient and excitable into one of ease on April 20th when the Sun moves forward into calm and sensate Taurus. The beginning of Taurus season will see that we need to take a break from all of the outward activity, and just relax and smell the flowers. Taurus energy is yin and feminine, and resonates strongly with earth, nature, music, food, sensuality, and money. We will likely feel a little more practical and want to work on growing our savings accounts. It’s also great time to make music and art, as spring’s fertile grounds inspire us with blooming flowers and beauty abound. Try to find the time to get back into nature and connect with mother earth, as Taurean energy is truly at home here.

📢 On April 24th, Venus leaves her beloved Taurus behind for social butterfly Gemini. Venus in Gemini is likely to get us out and about and in touch with our community of friends. This is a great time to start learning a new skill, taking a class, or just getting out and being social with your pals. Communicator Mercury comes into a tense square with Saturn on the same day, turning our minds towards a more serious and possibly negative bent. Be present with any mental blocks you may experience around this time, but be mindful if you’re having some depressive or heavy thoughts that this aspect will only last for a few days. The next day, April 25th, sees Mars conjoin with Pluto, creating an intense, aggravated, and brooding atmosphere. This can prompt aggressive behaviors or outbursts from other people or yourself, so be gentle with those that seem on edge. This Mars/Pluto conjunction can also dredge up some heavy things psychologically, so be patient and kind with yourself if you’re feeling moody and intense.

🌕🦂 The end of the month, in a most fitting manner after all of the emotionally provocative energies taking place, will see a full moon bloom in Scorpio on April 29th. The moon is actually considered to be in it’s detriment in Scorpio, as it intensifies the moon’s natural receptive emotional nature into one that can be too possessive and potentially controlling. Don’t be surprised if your deepest emotions are stirred on the days surrounding this full moon and if you respond with a bit of a snap. It’s a good time to get in touch with some of your more deeper personal issues. You may feel the need to clean out some of the skeletons out of your closet and purge some ancient feelings. Express yourself through writing, through self expression, through sexual expression. Scorpio wants to go to the depths of itself and has no time for anything superficial. Grab your sage and get to it!

Lots of love and good luck with April,

Mack and the Zodiac
