The Energy of An Aquarius Moon

Eccentric, Futuristic, Benevolent

3 words that describe an Aquarius Moon.

Aquarius Moon

The Moon in Aquarius

Aquarius rules the eleventh house.

The eleventh house rules social groups, teams, friendships, society, technology, digital media, networking, social justice, rebellion, and humanitarian causes. It also rules our originality, eccentricity, surprises, invention, astronomy, science fiction and all things futuristic.

When the Moon is in Aquarius, what if during that particular lunar phase, for just a few days, humanity could call on these eccentric, futuristic and benevolent Aquarian energies?

We'd try out new approaches, no matter how weird, we'd consider the future versus what's squarely in front of us, we'd act with a heart of benevolence, which we seem to struggle so hard to do. ✨

When the Moon is in Aquarius we are encouraged to step fully into our own light. Times are dark. We owe it to ourselves to illuminate our thinking, our way of being, our sense of humanity.

Born Under an Aquarian Moon

Aquarius is the humanitarian rebel, the most socially aware sign of the zodiac. Those born under an Aquarian moon experience the collective experience as if it is their own. To an Aquarius moon, values are everything. Lunar Aquarians include Billie Eilish and Solange Knowles - think “Therefore I Am” and “Cranes in the Sky.”

A Lunar Cycle

A lunar cycle lasts 29 days. 🌕

What if every month — just like the moon cycles through lunar phases orbiting all twelve zodiac signs we, as human beings, could take a leap of faith and follow suit? What if we committed to living in alignment with the moon?

We'd start on the New Moon phase, a blank page.

We'd be in a state of self surrender. We'd stop living by old stories, and blaming others for shit we've created, and we'd start fresh, releasing past constraints.

We'd move into the Waxing Phase ready to write new goals. Facing the world as it is TODAY, not from some narrative of what used to be.

The full moon occurs half way through and gives a new opportunity every single month to shine and grow. We'd move into the Full Moon considering the energy of the sign ruling that particular moon.

We’d move into the Waning Phase liberating ourselves from the binds that keep us from living in our fullest expression of self.

Consider this: living is HARD.

What would happen if you consciously worked to change your consciousness, to be in flow - even if it's for a time period as short as 29 days?

You’ve like heard it takes 21 days to form a habit.

Sadhana: Your Habits Define You

In the yogic sciences, there is a saying “your habits define you.” In Kundalini Yoga and in my course Culte La Lune: Art of Lunar Living we encourage a morning Sadhana practice. A Sadhana is simply a daily spiritual practice.

Here’s the shift you can expect as you grow a morning practice:

Daily Spiritual Practice

21 Days: We begin to create a new habit in our conscious mind.

29 Days: In one lunar cycle our mindset begins to shift at a deeper level, our behaviors are a reflection of a new mindset.

40 Days: We begin to break any negative habits that block us from personal expansion.

90 Days: We create a new habit in our conscious and subconscious minds. We notice profound shifts in our way of being.

120 Days: We confirm the new habit of consciousness. The positive benefits of our practice and new mindset get integrated permanently into our psyche.

1000 Days: We become the master of the new habit of consciousness. No matter what the challenge, you can call on this new habit to serve you.

In a daily practice you’re invited to show up just as you are. Don't dismiss your anxiety, trauma, your emotions and pain - let those moments of darkness propel you forward.

The Age of Aquarius

The Age of Aquarius is here, and while the falling apart of the old is full of shadow, incredibly complex, and messy, we can make quantum leaps in consciousness, both individually and collectively.

Under the light of an Aquarius moon consider how you can call forth a benevolent future.
