Social Media Intern

As a Social Media Intern at Oui, We, you'll be crucial in supporting our clients, cultivating the Oui, We community, and promoting our latest offerings and partnerships. This role is an opportunity to gain experience in every aspect of social media, from strategy and brainstorming to content management and community building. You'll work closely with our Director of Marketing to breathe life into our social media accounts by tracking trends, participating in brainstorming sessions, managing proactive engagement, and more.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

  • Remote, unpaid, flexible hours  — class credit, a reference letter, and portfolio support are available. 

  • Weekly Commitment: 6-20 hours per week (If your coursework requires a full-time internship, we can accommodate that.)

  • Location: Remote

  • Duration: 3 months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This internship is tailored to your unique goals and interests. Here's what we have in mind:

Strategy + Brainstorming:

  • Understand brand personalities and provide a weekly report on trends.

  • Brainstorm and report on captions and copy trends.

  • Participate in team calls and brainstorming sessions.

Community Management:

  • Proactively build and engage with the community on our Instagram pages.

  • Identify and connect with key influencers.

  • Assist in scheduling content for publication.

Content Creation:

  • Utilize pre-existing content to respond to briefs created by the Director of Marketing.

  • Curate images for social media feeds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required: Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Planoly, Canva, or similar).

  • Passionate about social media and up-to-date on social trends, including trending audios, video concepts, and caption ideas.

  • Interested in the wellness space and adept at understanding how brands bring their personalities to life on social media.

  • A team player with a willingness to jump in and contribute.

  • Willingness to try any task at least once.

  • Experience with Planoly is a plus.

Editorial Intern

As an Editorial Intern at Oui, We, you'll play a key role in working with blog and web content from strategy to execution and editorial management. You'll also collaborate closely with our Director of Marketing to bring our new content to life by pitching ideas, participating in team brainstorming, editing contributor submissions, and more. This role offers you the opportunity to learn about digital publishing, copywriting, editing, and SEO.

Strategy + Brainstorming:

  • Understand blog SEO and generate story pitches based on keyword research.

  • Brainstorm and report on wellness and astrology trends.

  • Optimize published articles for SEO.

  • Participate in team calls and brainstorming sessions.

Editorial Management:

  • Work with blog writers to proofread and edit new blog posts.

  • Identify and engage talented writers and influencers for future posts.

  • Assist with scheduling content for publication.

Content Creation:

  • Utilize pre-existing content to meet editorial standards.

  • Occasional opportunities to write original content.

  • Source imagery for published content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required: Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and Squarespace is a plus.

  • Passionate about the wellness space and well-versed in current trends.

  • A team player with a willingness to tackle any task, no matter how big or small.
