Finding Purpose, North Node Astrology, and Romanticizing Your Life

In today’s episode, I’m sharing a life update (we’re talking wedding planning, baby making, and opening an Airbnb!), tools I’ve used to help me find purpose, and thoughts on the trend of “romanticizing your life.”

So you know your sun, moon, and rising, but what about your North Node?

My what?

The North Node in your birth chart shows you the way to your soul's purpose.

In other words, your North Node represents where you're going. This includes the lessons you will learn, the areas of major growth, and the characteristics you're taking on.

When we understand our North Node, we can tap into alignment as we move forward on a clearer path towards our purpose.

You can stop questioning yourself now!

But the real magic happens when you integrate your North Node with your Human Design type.

Human Design is a chart that helps you to understand your unique energy and superpowers. By understanding your type, strategy, and profile, you can begin to live in harmony with your innate energetics, which heightens your manifesting abilities and makes you happier overall.

It's a whole vibe.

The North Node

Our north node points the way, much like the north star in the sky does on a clear night.

This period is similar to our Saturn return. The north node represents our area of growth and the life lessons we're integrating. We must always consider the north node from birth with the current north node globally when decoding our north nodes. It makes even more sense when synthesized with which house it is in, as well as its relation to the other planets and signs in your birth chart.

Soul Purpose Reflection Questions:

What are you doing when you feel most empowered?

When do you tend to feel resistant?

Where in your life do you feel nourished?

Where do you feel emotional sensitivity?

Where do you feel your creative energy shine?

How do boundaries help you take action, build structure, and be present in your life?

Where in your life do you see disharmony? And harmony?

After reflecting, consider, how can I begin to romanticize my life. Want to know more about the concept of romanticizing your life? From the NY Times:

Experts say the romanticizing trend may have endured in part because it is a new way of exploring mindfulness — the practice of paying attention to the present moment and becoming aware of your physical sensations, thoughts and emotions in a nonjudgmental way. It also offers a sense of agency, a feeling of control that has been sorely lacking as the pandemic grinds on.

It asks us to appreciate what we have right in front of us and to live with intention, no matter how mundane our daily rituals might be — a reminder to look for moments of beauty and embrace minimalism.
