#3: Ancestral Healing & Mastering Your Spiritual DNA with Black Girl Magik’s Shydeia Caldwell

Wonder what it’s like to have your first spiritual encounter with an angel in your grandmother’s bedroom when you’re just a babe? Or how growing up with women who could heal your ails via kitchen concoctions and magical garden ingredients will shape you?

In this episode I’m interviewing Spirit-led Guide and Wellness Educator Shydeia Caldwell, and she's taking us to the school of ancestral healing.

We discuss Shydeia’s process of guiding women into “self initiation” - a ceremonial practice designed to support women in accessing their inner power. We talk about the divine duality of surrender and inspired action, something I find Shydeia balances beautifully as she works to nurture her community.

Shydeia’s exploratory processes guide Black people in anchoring into the roots of their heritage and personal power. In our conversation she shares her offerings from spirit alchemy to working with altars and she gives us tips and on how we can begin to create our own ancestral connections.

Shydeia is the co-founder of Black Girl Magik and is actively crowd-funding and building a digital sanctuary which will weave spirituality and mental health through an entirely new approach to online wellness and education for Black women.
