The Astrology of June: Enjoy the Ride!

♒️☸️ June is bound to be one of the most pivotal months of the year, as it marks a significant change for all of us in the direction of our own personal journey. Mars goes retrograde in Aquarius mid month and will remain moving backwards until late August. This movement is likely to throw us for a bit of a loop, while simultaneously serving up some frustration and obstacles over the summer. We’re just beginning to see the new 7 year story of Uranus in Taurus unfold in all of our lives. A few of us have already survived some sudden earthquakes occurring to our foundations or stagnant situations we’ve been holding onto. Saturn and Pluto are trudging through Capricorn and are pushing us to accomplish some difficult work on ourselves. It’s certainly not a calm and stagnant time to be alive, the universe know it and wants to see us work and grow with these varying energies!

Gemini Season - Oui We

❤️⚔♇ The month starts out with both intense and nebulous aspects, as we come fresh out of the gate into some tricky relationship territory on and around June 5th, when Venus opposes Pluto. This aspect shows us the power dynamic present in our current relationships, while also intensifying our connections romantically and sexually. If you’re in a relationship, you may tread into some treacherous places together emotionally, plummeting down to each others depths to make sure you’re ultimately aligned with a similar goal. If you’re playing the field, you may find your desire for sexual encounters or intense relationships increase around the beginning of June.

📞👁 On and around the next day, June 6th, Mercury (communication) comes into a conflicting square with Neptune (dreams and visions). This can create a disorienting effect on our minds and speech, we may need to monitor our daydreaming and the information we share with people, as messages can become foggy and unclear during this time and points ultimately misunderstood. On June 7th, the self assertive warrior planet Mars will be exactly conjunct the moon’s nodal axis. The nodal axis is a marker of fated events in our lives personally and collectively, and when a planet touches them natally or by transit, there is a strong emphasis and exploration involving that planetary archetype. Mars is our planetary player here, and this go around he is specifically conjunct the south node. The south node is associated with old habits and patterns that are easy for us but that are no longer helping us grow. It’s the thing we always fall back on when we don’t feel like pushing forward with new techniques. Mars on the south node will see us emptying out old Martian habits that are holding us back, such as our will power, self assertiveness, sexuality, or aggression. All Mars like topics will be up for revision.

♋️🦀 June 12th sees a shift in our minds and mouths when Mercury enters cozy Cancer. This movement of Mercury internalizes our minds and gives us a more emotional and sentimental mindset. We may find that we’re fixated on our past, as old feelings rear their head and thoughts of our upbringing and family life intervene suddenly with our day to day. Mercury in Cancer is a fertile time creatively and you should encourage yourself to explore art through an emotional lens. Cancer is one of the signs in the zodiac without any vocal chords, as it is ultimately represented by a wordless crustacean, so with our planet of communication struggling to speak, we can expect our words to turn inward and not find an easy way out. Mercury will be swimming in the ocean of Cancer until June 29th when it moves into fiery and dynamic Leo.

🌑♊️ On June 13th, a new moon in Gemini is planted into all of our charts, resetting the lunar cycle for the month ahead and giving us a blank slate to work with. This Gemini new moon allows us to set intentions around learning, teaching, and exploring our many curiosities about life. New moons and their aspects always set the tone for the month ahead, and this new moon features a nebulous square to Neptune, signifying that we need to make adjustments and sort out confusing thoughts and messages throughout the coming weeks. This square to Neptune can also signify a need to readjust our relationship to our own illusions, idealisms, and spirituality over the month.

❤️🦁🔥 Venus enters Leo the very same day of the new moon, which dramatizes and fires up our relationship energy and our need to perform and create. We may explore creative outlets that may have fallen to the wayside while Venus was making us wanna stay home in Cancer. Venus in Leo creates a warm and excitable energy around our relationships, but it also can show a tendency for us to seek extra attention and approval from the people in our lives. We can also tend to crave a little more worship, praise, and pets during these times! Take it from a girl with Venus in Leo natally ☺️

◻️❤️🌀 June 14th features a powerful square between Venus and Uranus, calling for some much needed readjustment between our romantic relationships and our need for excitement, novelty and freshness. There can certainly be sudden breakups and shake ups on the days around this square as well. Know that if your relationship is feeling rocky and you’re rethinking it’s entire existence, this aspect can give the jolt you may need in order to call it off. If you don’t wanna end things, this square can just illustrate new ways to incorporate some healthy new changes to keep things growing and changing between you and your partner. If you’re single, this square could make for some exciting or even potentially upsetting dates or bring eccentric people into your life at this time!

☀️🦀🏠 June 21st sees the Sun leave the airy skies of Gemini behind and forward into the emotional depths of Cancer. The sun in Cancer is a call to come home to oneself and ones closest of kin. The sun in Cancer will have us reviewing our home life, our relationship to our family, and our most personal emotional space that is well protected against the harsh realities of the outside world. While the sun moves through the sign of the crab, know that you may long to stay at home and out of the social spotlight for the time being. We are drawn towards decorating our personal inner spaces and taking a look at what needs cleaning and rearranging in our emotional interior as well! Cancer time is a time to make yourself cozy, to heal your wounds, to call your mom, to watch your favorite movie, and to cry if you feel like crying! Embrace your desire for comfort and give yourself permission to withdraw from the world.

🌀🙂☁️June 26 sets the tone for the rest of the summer as Mars will be going Retrograde until late August 2018. Mars will be moving backwards through Aquarius and will dip back into earthy Capricorn in the coming weeks. This will likely reawaken some of the struggles from the previous months that we thought we may have escaped. Mars retrograde basically just means a more inward Mars, which is hard for this fiery and outwardly expressive planet. Our anger and sexual energy can move inward on a subtle level. It could be harder to express being mad with someone or a situation than when Mars is in direct motion. Issues surrounding our willpower can rear up. It can be harder for us to take a stance against opponents or against situations that feel overpowering. Mars energy turned inward can be challenging to work with, so do try to keep it in mind throughout the summer if you feel anger boiling and building up inside you. Try to find a physical outlet and the will to express yourself and your real feelings during these times.

☀️🔵🌝🏔 On the same day, the life giving Sun opposes limitation loving Saturn, which can add some obstacles to the mix for the days surrounding. Sun/Saturn energy can amp us up in terms of getting our hard work done and can help us focus on what needs to be done, but it can also isolate us or make us feel a bit blue as well. The end of the month sees a Saturn ruled full moon in Capricorn bloom on June 27. This annular full moon in Capricorn is always a tricky one to navigate, for the moon suffers a little in the cold and rocky world of Capricorn. The moon, ruler of Cancer, wants to nurture, stay home, and heal your wounds. Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, wants to go out and conquer the world and doesn’t always have the patience to sit home tending to every sensitive emotion that passes through! This full moon is very tightly conjunct Saturn, adding an even heavier Saturnian vibe to the whole mix. This full moon can be a tad bit depressing and taxing on us, as Saturn reminds us of all the work and obligations and responsibilities we are so heavily indebted to on the regular. It can also make us feel quite isolated and lonely. Try to find a pal or two on this day so you can share your real feelings instead of feeling all bottled up inside!

Good luck with all of these crazy energies and try to enjoy the ride!

Love,

The Astrology of May

May is finally here and in full bloom, and it’s bound to be one of the most important months of 2018. Astrologically speaking, May marks a huge shift in energy and signals a big, brand new story that will be uniquely unfolding in all of our lives. This new 7 year story is being narrated by the erratic and unpredictable outer planet, Uranus, who is moving out of Aries after a 7 year stay and forward into Taurus on May 15th.

Taurus Season via Oui We

🌑🦂🔥♈️ Change is the name of the game and the best thing we can do is try to embrace it! May starts out still reeling from the old wounds that the Scorpio full moon may have reopened. The moon now wane’s in her glorious light, symbolizing her journey of closure and release from the emotions and revelations of the climactic full moon. Mercury, our planet of communication is still trudging through the fiery ashes of Aries, where last month’s retrograde instructed him to revisit. Mercury in Aries keeps our minds and tongues sharp, as well as rather self-interested.

♊️🍾💛 Venus, our planet of relationship, is currently gliding through social butterfly Gemini. Venus in Gemini brings a mental emphasis, a lightness, and a general frivolity to our desire nature. It increases our want to be social and makes us long for friendship and parties, perfect for Spring! Venus in Gemini is creatively fertile for writers and wordsmiths alike, as we may find we long to teach, learn, or read something new. Mars, our planet of self assertion, is still climbing up the rocky, obstacle filled mountain of Capricorn. Though his journey sees a long awaited end mid-month, we’re still not out of the woods. Saturn in Capricorn and Jupiter in Scorpio are both moving through their retrograde phases, signaling an intentional need for slowing down and cutting back on any overflow of our current responsibilities and commitments that don’t internally resonate with us.

☁️❣️ May 7th sees a nebulous conflict unfold between our idealizations and our relationships. We may need to make some fresh adjustments regarding the realistic expectations we have of our partners. Fair warning that this aspect can also make us romantically susceptible to people in an illusory way. We can think that someone we meet during this time is right for us in an idealized way that may not stand the true test of time. The life giving Sun also opposes abundance bringer Jupiter the exact same day, prompting us for a day of potential overdoing and overindulging. Fortunately, this opposition shouldn’t be so bad, since Jupiter is the great beneficiary. We will likely be feeling dreamy and optimistic around these few days. Be careful of over committing or biting off more than you can chew. Too much of a good thing can turn bad.

💰🌎🌝 Mercury enters Taurus on May 13th, which begins to slow and stabilize our minds and speech. Mercury in Taurus will have us thinking more seriously about our finances, values, and practical concerns here on earth. May 15th is the big day we’ve all been waiting for, when Uranus enters Taurus. On the same day, in perfect synchronicity, a new moon in Taurus is born. This Taurus new moon is a most fitting beginning, as it sets the stage of newness for that area of life.

⚡️♉️🏠 Uranus is an outer planet that Astrologers look to for both societal and personal shake ups, sudden changes, and bursting insights. In the steady sign of the bull, he breaks up old Earth and the trusted grounds we’ve walked upon. Uranus has been moving through the pioneering sign of Aries since 2011, completely changing the scenery in the Aries ruled house of your chart. Now, after 7 long years, Uranus the change bringer is ready to bring some electricity to your Taurus house. Look to the house that Taurus rules in your chart to see where the earthquakes in your life may be coming. The energy of fiery Uranus in placid Taurus is interesting to picture, for Taurus in itself is a sign that requires steady, stable, peace and calm. Uranus will potentially break things down and change things around in an area of life that you’ve become too complacent and comfortable with. This is a major shift and one of the biggest of the year, as Uranus will be working his feng shui magic in Taurus until 2025!

☮️📣 The very next day on May 16th, Mars enters Aquarius, lightening the heavy Capricorn load of the last 6 weeks considerably. Mars in Aquarius is a more mental placement for the soldiering planet, and will inspire us to put energy and action into the groups and friends we associate with. Mars will give us a boost here to put more work into humanitarian efforts as well - be it feeling the urge to peacefully protest or simply voice your concerns within your community. Also on this day, Mars comes into a tense square with newly ingressed Uranus in Taurus, fanning the flames of tension and allowing for potential outbursts. People in general will be quite irritable, emotional, or unstable on the days surrounding the new moon/Uranus in Taurus ingress, as it will be bringing in totally new stories into people’s lives,  so try to be as patient and understanding as you can with yourself and others.

❤️🦀 On May 19th, Venus moves into Cancer. The planet of love suddenly becomes a bit tired of socializing and staying out late with friends, and turns its eye back homeward. A desire to stay home and be cozy comes on strongly as Venus enters the homebody and family oriented sign of the crab. While Venus is in Cancer’s domain, it’s a great time to host from the comfort of you home. It’s also ideal for meeting up with one’s family or parents and having dinner together. Our craving for sweets comes on strong while Venus is in Cancer, so be aware of curbing the sugar when you know you’ve gone too far! That being said, this is also a great time to bake and cook things at home.

☀️👯 On May 20th, our bright and vitality giving Sun enters Gemini, the sign of the twins. This provides us with a more chatty and curious nature. We may want to get out, explore the neighborhood, and connect more with our local community. This is a great time to learn something new, as our minds activity are heightened towards intaking new information. Gemini season also offers us the ability to write, read, and speak more adeptly! Gemini season wants us to get outside and enjoy the fresh and warm coming of Spring and find our friends and companions to join along. May 25th sees a tense opposition unfold between Venus and Saturn. This aspect can make us quite aware of our separateness from other people. We can feel isolated from our partners in relationships, like we’re misunderstood or not being seen. Venus/Saturn can be kind of a downer, so don’t worry if you’re feeling a little blue or alone, this will pass.

🌕♐️✈︎ The lunar month comes to a climax on May 29th, which oversees the blooming of a bright full moon in exploring, worldly Sagittarius. This is a much more fun full moon, quite the opposite of April’s. Sagittarius energy is warm, active, and enthusiastic. This full moon will have us seeking freedom and wanting to travel to the far off corners of the world. This lunation as per usual brings a strong awareness into our lives about our current situation. The Sagittarius energy imbued in this full moon may have us feeling a crisis around our personal freedom. We may be realizing just how badly we wish to be able to wander, explore, and learn instead of feel chained to our jobs and local lives. Use this full moon to explore your dreams and visions and begin making plans to get out of town!  On the same day, Mercury enters his own sign of Gemini, giving him additional strength for the coming weeks. Mercury in Gemini increases our mental speed much more than when he’s in Taurus. Beware of frying your nerves with rapid, vacillating thoughts! Balance out your hyper mind with some physical activity.

Have a great month of May! Embrace Uranus in Taurus, its gonna be one an exciting ride!

Taurus Season: Return to Nature

🌿♉️ On April 20th, the Sun’s trek through the battlefields of Aries comes to a close, and we move forward into the greener, calmer pastures of Taurus. Aries season was a stimulating and potentially overwhelming time, as it endowed our spirits with a fresh breath of air and inspiration towards our personal ambitions. Now, as we move into Taurus season, we seek to build a foundation that will support the lofty goals that we’ve been envisioning. Taurus season is ruled by the proprietor of beauty, Venus, who sees that the fragrant flowers bloom with color and that nature begins to thrive, fervent and green. We will begin to slow our pace considerably, preferring now to drift languidly through a garden, and to enjoy the simplicity of just smelling the flowers and basking in the warm sun.

c o Mackenzie Greer for Oui We

🍃🌷🌿 Taurus is a sign that is deeply connected with mother earth, as it is the first earth sign of the zodiac, deeming the sign’s demeanor to be one that is quite literally “grounded” or “down to earth”. During Taurus season, we should encourage ourselves to move away from the technology that we find ourselves surrounded by. It’s an ideal time to step away from your cellphone for a bit, and simply exist just as yourself outside. If you can manage to schedule a little earthy retreat, do it! Go for a hike, sit by the water, stroll through a newly blooming garden. Taurus is a simple sign, there is no outward flashiness to it’s allure. It’s beauty comes from embracing the simplicity of the natural beauty of the planet we reside on. Taurus season is also great for creating art and music with ones hands, as it is a very physical sign. Everything also tastes better under Taurus's sensate spell, food and wine enjoyed at home in a cozy space will be make the soul happy now.

✨♈️⚡️ This Taurus season is bound to be unlike any other, as Uranus, the outer planet who acts erratically and bring surprises and change, will move into the sign of the bull and remain there for the next 7 years. Uranus hasn’t been in Taurus since the late 1930’s, where it last saw the onset of the great depression. Many astrologers are getting the feeling that the story of Uranus in Taurus will be one of revolutionary changes taking place, for good or bad, in our economy and the marketplace. Uranus in Taurus is an unusual image, as Taurus itself represents the steady ground of the earth we walk upon everyday. The ground that we can trust won’t dissolve beneath our feet. The ground we collapse into in the summer shade to rest our weary bones in the grass.

🌎⚡️ Uranus in the sign of strong and stable earth looks like a giant earthquake. Individually, it will be reshaping the parts of our lives that have grown stagnant and perhaps stubborn to change, look to the house that Taurus is ruled by in your chart to see where this major new energy will be coming into! Remember, Uranus isn’t a threat to you unless you cling to an imagined comfortable reality that is resistant to growth. That mindset attracts Uranian energy like a magnet, as Uranus wishes to come in and shock you with lightning bolt revelations of truth and authenticity.

♓️➡️♈️ This week has overseen some big astrological shifts, as the stage has been set for some big change. Chiron, an asteroid astrologers refer to as “the wounded healer”, has moved out of the oceanic waters of Pisces and into independent Aries. Chiron has been traveling through Pisces since 2010, where he’s sought out ancient wounds around Piscean themes, such as empathy, surrender, escape, and connection to source. Chiron’s job as he transits the signs of the zodiac is to bring up the old wounds of each archetype for re-evaluation and understanding, so that we can heal our own wounds. Chiron entered Aries on April 17th and will remain in the sign of the pioneering warrior until 2027! Pretty crazy, we’ve got some work to do on ourselves. While Chiron moves through Aries, we will be exploring the archetypal wounds of the Ram, including wounds around our ego, how we take action, and how we function as individuals vs. the world.

♄🌀 Saturn turned retrograde on April 17th as well and will remain moving backwards until September of 2018. Saturn’s retrograde period calls for us to start simplifying our responsibilities and commitments. It’s time to cut out whatever we’ve agreed to that doesn’t actually mesh with what we want to be a part of. Saturn retrograde periods are a time of trimming the fat off of our schedules, it’s not the time for adding on more things to your to do list. After Aries season we have a million things to do on our to-do list as it is! Saturn is suggesting a more stress free approach. “Simplify!” he cries. By cutting back on the obligations that are too much for us or that we’re not even that invested in, we can put more time and effort into the things that we actually care about and work more efficiently at them!

April Astrology Report | What The Stars Hold For You This Month

🌺✨Spring is here and in full swing, and while they often say that March “comes in like a lion and out like a lamb”, the astrology of April appears to challenge that notion.  March presents it’s grand finale with a vibrant full moon in Libra on March 31st. This full moon shines it’s emotional spotlight into the Libra house of our chart, a place that varies from person to person, but one with a foundational theme surrounding balance and relationship.

Spring Vibe Board || Oui We

🌕 The Libra full moon is the perfect time to take a step back from the hyper need for individualization found in Aries season in order to reassess our partnerships and how they’re functioning. March was packed full of Aries planets, encouraging us to think about our unique place in the universe and ultimately put ourselves first. The beauty of the contrast of the Libra full moon’s presence is that it aims to bring us back in balance with the important relationships in our lives. The overdose of Aries planets has likely had us inspired and bursting with initiative, but we may have slacked where it came to giving full attention to our partnerships. This full moon’s emotional energy may put us on edge, as it is forms a tough square to both of the malefics, Saturn and Mars. These two ask for us to make sure we have a good grasp on our boundaries, goals, and a healthy level of autonomy in our partnerships. They can also make for some pretty sizable obstacles and arguments as well. Fortunately, the very same day, relationship healer Venus leaves impetuous Aries behind for calm and stable Taurus, making it the slightest bit easier to seek compromise calmly.

🌀🌎 April sees many planets changing directions and signs, signaling significant change and activity on the horizon. April 1st begins with a bang, as aggressive Mars and responsible Saturn join together in Capricorn for their exact conjunction. This brings a most palpable tension to the days surrounding this aspect, and we may come face to face with some intense frustration, limitations, and issues in general. The classic description of these two malefics coming together is a stop and go kinda of tension, or “driving with the brakes on”.  This day is further prone to surprises and upsets due to the Moon’s opposition to irritable Uranus. The days surrounding may find tensions and obstacles mounting increasingly. Take it easy on yourself and take a deep breath, for the rest of April won’t be quite as tough as the beginning.

🔥♈ On April 15th a firey new moon in Aries is born in the abyss of the night sky. This new moon tells a story for the month ahead, May. This new moon is conjoined to change-bringer Uranus and square to transformational Pluto, telling us that the month ahead may be chock full of surprises and deep inner work. Hold onto the reins and keep pushing forward! Mercury also finds itself going direct on the same day of this new moon, which signifies a definite shift in motion ahead. May will mark a huge month of change as the outer planet Uranus will tread ground that hasn’t been touched since the 1930’s when it moves forward into Taurus on May 15th. Uranus has been in Aries for the last 7 years, completely transforming whichever house Aries rules in your chart. Now, it’s heading for Taurus to shake things up with some fresh insight and change, which is not always comfortable but is absolutely useful.

➡️ Mercury’s decision to go direct the same day of this new moon insinuates that a brand new direction is awaiting us on the horizon of May, one of forward motion. Where the first few months of 2018 have been somewhat internally aware, thoughtful, and needing us to pause and reflect, what comes ahead is a much more outward and direct energy.

🍷⚡️ April 16th sees a rather indulgent opposition occur between Venus and Jupiter. This opposition can push us to go overboard in Venusian pleasures, as any planetary contact with Jupiter typically creates an increase and expansion via that planet’s significators. Venus/Jupiter pleasures are mainly those of over eating, over drinking, and over spending. Venus loves beauty, art, makeup, money and Jupiter loves to blow things out of proportion, always asking for more, more, more! Try and tap into the three planets that currently transit through reserved and practical Capricorn so you don’t wind up totally overdoing it. The next day, April 17th, Saturn turns retrograde for the first time in his cycle after having entered Capricorn in December 2017. Saturn will remain in his retrograde phase until September of 2018. Saturn retrograde periods call for an internal and reflective outlook on the commitments and choices we’ve made and how well we’ve managed to keep our word in regard to them.

🌞🌸♉ On April 18th the Sun conjoins unstable and unpredictable Uranus at the very end of Aries. The days surrounding are likely to be full of surprises, changes, sudden flashes of insight, or erratic and independent outbursts from people. This final firey Aries burst of energy is a perfect closer for Aries season, for the mood starts to change from impatient and excitable into one of ease on April 20th when the Sun moves forward into calm and sensate Taurus. The beginning of Taurus season will see that we need to take a break from all of the outward activity, and just relax and smell the flowers. Taurus energy is yin and feminine, and resonates strongly with earth, nature, music, food, sensuality, and money. We will likely feel a little more practical and want to work on growing our savings accounts. It’s also great time to make music and art, as spring’s fertile grounds inspire us with blooming flowers and beauty abound. Try to find the time to get back into nature and connect with mother earth, as Taurean energy is truly at home here.

📢 On April 24th, Venus leaves her beloved Taurus behind for social butterfly Gemini. Venus in Gemini is likely to get us out and about and in touch with our community of friends. This is a great time to start learning a new skill, taking a class, or just getting out and being social with your pals. Communicator Mercury comes into a tense square with Saturn on the same day, turning our minds towards a more serious and possibly negative bent. Be present with any mental blocks you may experience around this time, but be mindful if you’re having some depressive or heavy thoughts that this aspect will only last for a few days. The next day, April 25th, sees Mars conjoin with Pluto, creating an intense, aggravated, and brooding atmosphere. This can prompt aggressive behaviors or outbursts from other people or yourself, so be gentle with those that seem on edge. This Mars/Pluto conjunction can also dredge up some heavy things psychologically, so be patient and kind with yourself if you’re feeling moody and intense.

🌕🦂 The end of the month, in a most fitting manner after all of the emotionally provocative energies taking place, will see a full moon bloom in Scorpio on April 29th. The moon is actually considered to be in it’s detriment in Scorpio, as it intensifies the moon’s natural receptive emotional nature into one that can be too possessive and potentially controlling. Don’t be surprised if your deepest emotions are stirred on the days surrounding this full moon and if you respond with a bit of a snap. It’s a good time to get in touch with some of your more deeper personal issues. You may feel the need to clean out some of the skeletons out of your closet and purge some ancient feelings. Express yourself through writing, through self expression, through sexual expression. Scorpio wants to go to the depths of itself and has no time for anything superficial. Grab your sage and get to it!

Lots of love and good luck with April,

Mack and the Zodiac

New Moon 26° Pisces ♓️🌑

On March 17th, a new moon in Pisces is born at 26° and sets a dramatic stage for the month ahead. This new moon is the last big push on the Pisces frontier, as the Sun prepares to enter Aries on March 20th. It’s important that we tune into this new moon, one that ironically is more about endings than beginnings, as Pisces represents the end of a cycle. A death so that something may be reborn. Whatever projects, problems, or situations we’ve been facing recently are being asked to have one last overview so that they can be stamped with a checkmark and considered completed. Do what you can to tie up any loose ends and sever yourself from situations that are no longer in line with how you see your life moving forward. It’s important we clear our plates now in order to prepare ourselves for the slew of new energy and initiative that’s coming down the pipeline.

Pisces New Moon in Cancun // Oui We

🌏🌀📣 Many different planetary voices are crying out to be heard at this time, making it hard to hear your own voice and intuition through the noise. The new moon in Pisces asks for a few more moments of meditative peace in your own personal sanctuary. It asks that we be vulnerable to emotional release. It asks for you to maintain the wherewithal to create healthy endings for yourself. Mercury and Venus are currently traveling ahead in Aries, revving up our hearts and minds towards moving into the future and envisioning the next big thing. Venus isn’t very comfortable in rambunctious and independent Aries, which can make relating and seeing eye to eye with partners a little trickier than normal. We may seek our own personal freedom now, separate of our partners. Mercury in Aries has our minds bubbling with brand new initiatives and ideas, while also giving us a sharper tongue and temper than usual. The Sun will join these two next week, shifting the celestial scales in favor of Aries energy, and pushing us full force ahead into the fire of spring, where beginnings burst forth and the past is left fading into the rearview.

⚔❤️ Alas, the battle between the old and the new is not the only narrative we have going on in our hearts. There is still yet another deep and dark voice in the sky, one that speaks very sternly, of upcoming difficulty, hardship, and endurance. Mars, our soldier of self assertion, joins transformative Pluto and task-master Saturn in Capricorn and will remain there for the next 6 weeks. This is not the most pleasant pairing of planets, and the obstacles and issues they are bound to dish out will challenge us to our core. Mars and Saturn are traditionally known as the Malefics, meaning that they often are overseers of trials, tribulations, and tougher times.

💪🏼💎 They do not punish meaninglessly though, they test our true strengths and abilities to the fullest, and aim to make diamonds of our souls from the coal. Our patience, our strategy, and our ability is all refined under the trying tests of Mars and Saturn, if we do not bend and break under their pressure. The next 6 weeks will certainly come with a fair share of hardships for some of us, but whatever we survive will only make us stronger and smarter. A healthy way to use the intensity of this Capricorn energy is to pour yourself into any hard work or projects you are passionate about. The energy will be there to get things done, although it may feel anger inducing or like we are met with obstacles left and right. Look to the house that Capricorn rules in your chart in order to get an idea of where this struggle may be manifesting.

♓️🔆 It is not yet time to leave Pisces season, and this new moon serves as a strong reminder, despite our eagerness to depart from the dreary oceans of over emotionalism. There is still room for a final purge and purification. The end of winter is in sight, and we can feel anxious to run as fast as we can towards the sunshine and away from our looming inner problems, but it’s important to honor the end of everything. If we don’t properly observe an ending, a beginning can act more like a false coping mechanism than a means of truly moving forward. It takes just as much courage to look back and truly see what has been gained and lost in our lives, than to simply push forward and see what happens next. Endings are just as important as beginnings. The piscean point of view is too observe everything as a moving, function, and connected whole. Allow yourself to ponder what is leaving you now and what you have learned about yourself over the winter season in order to truly make yourself ready for the next step. Steep in the psychic stew of your psyche, reflect and feel everything you can, surrender and go with the flow. It’s the Pisces way.

New Moon in Aquarius: Reclaiming Freedom

✨♒️🌑 Reclaiming personal freedom and liberating our most authentic self. This is what the new moon at 27° Aquarius asks us to attempt. On February 15th, the Sun and Moon conjoin for their monthly meeting, rising together in the morning and setting together in the evening. They spill the secrets of things yet to come and encourage life on earth to reset for the month ahead. This dark moon in Aquarius holds special importance, for it’s also a partial solar eclipse. This solar eclipse serves as the action oriented counterpart to the emotions that began stirring back on the lunar eclipse on January 31st. Eclipses always occur in pairs. Events that occur around this time begin to set the tone of the next six months, until the next eclipse series begins in July 2018. Look around your chart and see if you have any points at 27°, for this eclipse will be directly affecting that planet and area of life.

Zodiac Mack for Oui We

⚡️💛 During a solar eclipse the moon obstructs a portion of the sun and for a brief moment the moon reigns supreme, darkening the solar essence. Eclipses are inherently emotional, as the very presence of the phenomena comes as somewhat of a natural disruption. Can you imagine how people thousands of years ago must have reacted to this frightening occurrence, when their life giving sun was suddenly swallowed into the darkness of the moon? Eclipses itself have been heralded as an omen for centuries, but good and bad are often two sides of the same coin. Eclipses are wildcards. They rush things into our lives and they occasionally pull the rug out from under us. Embrace any changes that stir within you or any actions outside of your control that take place at this time. Most often, abrupt endings or changes can help pave the way for growth and new beginnings.

🌞🌑🌀 This Aquarius new moon and solar eclipse is conjunct the tiny communicator planet Mercury, entangling the winged messenger’s own story into our eclipse tale. Our thoughts, ideas, and speech get sucked into the vortex. It’s time to use our voices and breathe life into our unique visions and ideas. We should let our minds meander into a more meditative state now, and a less media-induced one. This new moon promises aid to those writing out their personal perspectives as well as speaking their truths. The new moon is also in a positive aspect to change-bringer Uranus, allowing for new opportunities, if one only reaches out to grab them. Uranus can aid in breaking out of our own ruts, if we only trust the process and embrace newness.

🌀🔆 Last but not least, this new moon features action-oriented Mars and disorienting Neptune in a square. This may mean that actions taken at this time may be done haphazardly or with confusion. While new moons are often great times to plant seeds of intention, we may need to hesitate awhile before taking any firm action. Mars/Neptune can weaken energies and make us susceptible to tiredness. We can also fall prey to escapism through substances as an outlet instead of exercising our bodies physically to release. The ideas and goals we hold in our minds for this new moon may This new moon would be best spent doing some yin yoga, meditative thought, and writing. Giving your mind a good rinse is key with this eclipse, for it's time to throw out whatever doesn’t need to be floating around needlessly in your brain. Meditation and calming the mind is truly a discipline, which is fitting see as Aquarius is traditionally ruled by the master of self-control, Saturn.

Delving Deep Into Collective Consciousness: Aquarius Season

💙♒️ Happy February everyone! Aquarius season is well underway, with the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the south node currently inhabiting the sign of the water bearer. Our hearts and minds are geared towards delving deeper into the collective consciousness, as we ponder how we each as individuals fit into the larger picture of our society. Aquarius is a fixed air sign, meaning its job is to maintain and stabilize the rest of the season, as a fixed sign, and to turn us away from our emotions and towards the detached rationale and logic of the mind, as an air sign.

Zodiac Mack for Oui We

♒️👫 Aquarius energy longs for us to connect with one another, to create friendships, to join groups, and to come hand in hand with humanity. Aquarius also represents the ever unique, non-conformist in all of us. When we can openly embrace our wild inner weird, we can embrace the most authentic versions of ourselves. This is what Aquarian energy asks of us.

🌎⚡️ Meanwhile, as the freedom-loving, humanitarian Aquarian parade marches on, Saturn and Pluto continue to trudge through Capricorn. Saturn here asks us to stand firmly behind our convictions, to pursue our goals with diligence, and to be utterly self reliant. Pluto has been in Capricorn for the last 10 years, tackling societal taboos around power and control. These two planetary heavy hitters will stay in Capricorn’s realm for some time to come, flushing out further issues of government, abuse of power, and perceived authority in our society. Jupiter, the planet of spiritual and psychological growth, continues to move forward through the depths of Scorpio. Jupiter in Scorpio has been assisting in the ongoing exposure of sexual taboo and abuse in our society, revealing that sexuality is where we need to place our focus, in order for us all to achieve some deeper healing.

🔥♐️ Mars, having freshly entered Sagittarius, finds himself in a more loud and rowdy position than in quiet, suppressive Scorpio. Mars primarily gives us the gifts of energy, action, and self assertion. Mars’ stay in Sagittarius offers us the wherewithal to tackle uncharted territory, to dream big, and to explore spirituality and philosophy. We have stronger faith in our beliefs and ideals at this time, which can help in taking physical action towards accomplishing our more lofty goals. Mars in Sagittarius can also have us believing that whatever we think to be true must be true for all, potentially making us a little unrelenting when it comes to hearing other people’s points of view. Hopefully we can all tap into the abundance of thoughtful, observant Aquarius energy to work hand in hand, instead of fist and fist!

A Collective and Creative Lunar Eclipse in Leo

🌜✨ On January 31st, we are graced with the first eclipse of the new year, a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 11° Leo. Lunar eclipses are like full moons on crack. They’re often emotionally turbulent and act as strong internal catalysts for change. Solar eclipses often bring on events outside of ourselves or our direct control, where lunar eclipses plant the idea of our next move through our thoughts and feelings about the current situation. This eclipse ties back to the Solar Eclipse of August 21st, 2017. Whatever actions or events that took place around August of last year are now beginning to bear fruit and may require some necessary adjustments.

Zodiac Mack for Oui We

🌙💧 Lunar eclipses are primarily active on an internal level, so take a good hard look around your inner landscape. Whatever hints are being revealed to you at this time likely hold the plan for your next step. This can be a strongly emotional time for everyone, so try to allow for space and patience with yourself and others. Our best judgement may not be employed at this time and it’s ideal to keep a light schedule of things can get a little hectic. Eclipses can make us all a little wonky and feel a little crazy, as they usher in a period of rapid change and growth.

🌟 Not all eclipses are created equal! Some pass by with little to no notice while others seem to usher in an entire new set of life circumstances. This is because in order for an eclipse to be specifically important to you, it needs to be activating a planet in your chart. For example, this eclipse degree occurs at 11° of the Leo/Aquarius axis. Look around your chart and see if any of your planets or points are around 10,11,12° degrees, for this indicates that there will be activity surrounding this planet. If on this go around nothing in your chart is particularly active, simply keep an eye on the houses that the eclipse is occurring in for you, wherever Leo/Aquarius falls. This will still be an area of ongoing activity, though it may appear to be more subtle than if it were activating a planet.

♌️♒️ We’ve all been learning lessons from the Leo/Aquarius axis since last May. Leo and Aquarius themes represent: The individuals expression vs. The collectives expression, Personal Love vs. Detached Love, Spontaneous Creativity and Collective Creation. We’re learning to find our individual place in our society. We’re learning to surrender our personal egos to for greater good. We’re also bringing our personal creative vision into building the future world before us. This is what the Leo/Aquarius axis is all about.

Look below and read for your Rising Sign to see what areas of life will be activated by this eclipse for you!

Capricorn New Moon

☉☽ Today marks a most potent first new moon of 2018, with the Sun and Moon aligning at 26° Capricorn. It’s time to reach beyond our envisioned boundaries. It’s time to make a fool of our fears. If you haven’t fully committed yet to your new years resolutions, don’t be discouraged! This new moon actually marks the best time to begin getting focused and organized towards accomplishing those goals we decided on a few weeks ago. On New Years day we had a full moon in Cancer, in which emotional activity was heightened and the issues of our current situations highlighted and on display. Full moons aren’t an ideal time to begin a new regimen, for they’re more geared towards awareness and illumination. New moons on the other hand are all about new beginnings, and they’re flavored by whatever sign they take place in. Today’s new moon takes place in Capricorn, a sign dedicated to fulfilling it’s personal journey and accomplishing it’s greatest dreams. Today is the real day for creating and enacting your plan for the year to come.

Capricorn New Moon

🌑♑️✨ The moon is dark in the sky, waiting patiently to be painted with light and infused with energy for the goals that lie ahead. With the new moon in earthy and material Capricorn, it’s super important for us to write our intentions down on paper. Capricorn is a realistic and down to earth sign, so wishy-washy goals that float about in our minds don’t stand a chance of lasting here. Write down what matters, make it physical and concrete. Put it somewhere you will frequently notice as a reminder to yourself. Capricorn energy is all about learning to cultivate self-discipline and autonomy.

Plant your seeds and set your intentions, for we will reap what we sow this year, and we’re gonna need a lot of plain old hard work to do it. Currently 6 planets reside in the sign of Capricorn, making the energy of the sky lop-sided and simultaneously hyper focused on the energy this sign represents. This abundance of planets in the zodiac’s only Cardinal Earth sign tips the scales for all of us, as we’re asked to really hone in on our ability to commit to hard work and personal ambition. Believing in ourselves and our journey in life becomes increasingly paramount.

💜♑️💫 Whatever planets the new moon is in contact with flavors the month ahead and tells us where to look for upcoming themes. This new moon features close contacts with Venus, Mars, Chiron, and Uranus - making this a potentially emotionally charged and romantically flavored time for healing and growth. The new moon is conjunct with the planet of love and relationship, Venus, which imbues the month ahead with a strong focus on relationship energy. This conjunction suggests our intimate relationships and values play a bigger role than average over the next month. The new moon also forms a sextile to Mars, our ability to self assert ourselves, and Chiron, our ability to heal our wounds. Mars gives us a boost of added energy at this time in order to tackle our projects, while Chiron offers us the opportunity to take a look at some old wounds that may need tending to. Last but not least, the new moon is square to unstable and chaotic Uranus, perhaps hinting to us of surprises, revelations, break ups, and shake ups still to come over the next month. If anything this can help to give us breathing room from a stale situation. So while we are reaching for the stars and pursuing our most meaningful goals, we also have to contend with the growth of our relationships and the old wounds that still fester in our psyches. We have to allow for change to refresh us instead of frighten us, and we have to get dead serious about what we want and who we want to become.

Sun, Venus, Pluto Conjunction

Today’s rare and intense Sun, Venus, Pluto conjunction can feel a little bit too reminiscent of a tightening vice grip. The Sun is flanked on one side by transformational Pluto, and on the other by relationship-oriented Venus. The pressure is on to dig deep into our hearts and shake the hands of acceptance and responsibility for our own journeys. Any authority figures looming over us that inhibit our truest expression of self becomes absolutely unbearable today. We must surrender to the intensity of this energy and ultimately allow for something false about our lives and our stories to die.

Zodiac Mack | Oui We

This powerful triple conjunction occurs in the sign of Capricorn, a sign deeply involved in taking responsibility for oneself and the achievement of one’s most meaningful goals. When the Sun and Pluto get closely involved, as they are today, power comes to the forefront of our minds. We want to set fire to the things that bind us and break the chains that restrain us. We want desperately to reclaim our personal power. While this isn’t the most comfortable energy to manage, it most assuredly is one of deep regeneration.

Pluto’s job is to break down the old and outworn parts of our lives. It represents a source of purifying fire. Venus is also involved in this alignment today, meaning our relationships and emotional baggage must walk through these flames with us. Fire can reduce and cleanse as much as it can destroy. Envision the stifling situations that you can no longer deal with being engulfed by this renewing fire. Picture any residual emotions from the last year that still bear weight crumbling to ashes all around you. You will remain standing soft and unharmed, but what needed to be destroyed will have gone. This is the work of this Sun, Venus, Pluto conjunction. Allow for the death of the old and unhelpful. Allow for the false narrative about your life turn to whispers. Embrace your inner Khaleesi, I promise you will come out the unburnt.
