Patience. Sitting at my little desk on January 6th of the new year I’m thinking about intentions. I’m not one to typically make New Year’s resolutions however I do like to start a new year with fresh perspective.
Or more precisely I like the idea of forethought … or foreshadowing… careful consideration of what the magic 8 ball holds…
Patience… after a year of working on the plan for my latest book the validation has finally arrived. That little babe has a publisher which means I get to move forward with seriously fresh intentions and a clear perspective in 2016. And my god does that feel amazingly good.
In the meantime a few days before getting that call about the the book I travelled back to Nashville to spend some QT with Ben. Being in love with someone who spends most of the year on the road... that's often a test of patience too. I'm so grateful for the days we have together. On this particular trip we spent day after day exploring - Radnor Lake, Arrington Vineyards and hikes around Nashville’s rolling hills. It's so brilliantly gorgeous there, I feel so lucky to get to experience it all.
Every time Ben and I go out for our nature trips, btw, we laugh a bit because well, honestly, no matter where we go he’s always dressed in his rock ’n roll gear and I’ve been back on a 60’s vintage and studded boots vibe for every outing. I definitely need to invest in some real outdoors-y clothes this year.
Anyways, I hope you all got some outside time in before the cold came in and celebrated with a peaceful close to 2015. Now let's get this year underway!
