Relaxing in Tarifa

Processed with VSCOcam with e3 preset Last weekend was another adventure as Christine, her boyfriend Casey, and my Spanish pals headed off to Tarifa. Tarifa is on the southern most tip of the coast of Spain, on the Strait of Gilbraltar with a direct view to Tangiers.

We spent the morning on the beach, in a little community that was full of VW vans and surfer kids. Total boho hippie vibe, and of course I was ready to move right in.

That afternoon we traveled past fields of bulls and through the windy roads into the village, to do a bit of the usual - shopping the markets and boutiques, and enjoying tapas, wine and coffee on repeat. The village was established in 1292, it's hard to even think that these little towns are some of the oldest in all of Europe.

Toward the end of the day, as the supermoon was rising, we had a close up view of Tangiers, directly across the port. What a surreal experience. Enjoy the photos, and see more over on Christine's page here! (I miss her already, btw, remember to love your friends to the moon and back, sometimes that's all we've got.)
