Loves, After too many days I'm finally grounded back in New Orleans and sharing a few snaps from my time in Honolulu. I never go this long without posting, and I have to say - my life has taken some interesting new directions as of the recent months and I'm in a place of reseting. That reset feels good, different, scary on some days. I wrote at the beginning of the year about my "Sanity Maintenance Plan" and I'm reflecting back often to ensure I'm staying the course of that plan. I've taken a new job, have a new home, am surrounding myself with people that I can contribute to and that give that contribution back equally and I'm enjoying the quiet flow of life. (Who am I kidding, it's rarely quiet, but on the days that it is....)
The trip to Hawaii was timed perfectly; I traveled there to scout gallery locations and had an extraordinary experience along the way. I arrived after a quick trip to LA and was immediately taken by the ease and beauty of the pacific. I've visited before, however, there's nothing quite like the mountain view, the clouds floating overhead and the vibrancy of the turquoise waters.
Taking in the afternoon from the lanai at my little apartment in downtown Waikiki.
Stocking the fridge with a few sake favorites.
Mermaiding. Totally in my element.
Some of the freshest sushi I've ever experienced.
Shadow play on the side streets.
On the route down to the beach where I met Asia. We talked about loving the world and every single second we get to be in it.
Basics. On rotation.
And directly to the left of the Trump International: The Breakers Hotel. Check in on the right.
Dinner plans: food trucks and palm trees.
Hands up! To the final night's sunset and the beauty of the island.
More to come, next stop on my Oui We Adventures a trip through Maui.
